Although we didn't dine in, the staff at Mr. Sushi are always pleasant and make you feel welcome. The food is great, and they always get my picky order correct!

The Asian girl with glasses working the dinner hours Jan 2nd was not friendly when I went in to pick up an order. In fact she was just rude.I have never had a problem before and will not recommend this place now.Be careful who you have working with the public there because she just hurt your buisness.

I've been going to Mr Sushi on and off for nearly 10 years, however I expect that will not be the case moving forward. Our meal tonight was disappointing, with all dishes coming up short. The fish, rice, and vegetables in the sushi rolls did not taste fresh, or particularly flavourful at all. We also had a beef teriyaki, where the sauce was thin, watery, and also not delivering any flavour. It feels like a notable change from past form, when Mr Sushi had been my preferred sushi place in Lynn Valley.

Today I ordered chicken Donburi and dynamite roll for takeout. Everything was good and the price was reasonable as well. However, chicken donburi didn’t have any vegetables, it was just plain rice and chicken with sauce. Based on the pictures I have seen it should at least have a bit of vegetables on side.Parking: It’s in a plaza so plenty of free parking.

Was not very happy with the quality of the sushi we ordered. Looks like it was pre-made. Too much yam is used. Two thumbs down. We will not come back.

I have been ordering from here, in Lynn Valley, for 2 years now, and like the person who reviewed 4 months ago, the toro was off.Tonight amongst the items I ordered was nekitoro cone and tobiko and masago nigiri.1)The size portion of the latter two over the last 3 times I have ordered have been getting smaller and smaller.2) the nekitoro was off with one bite and stank off, and It was just slabs of this stinky off toro with onion thrown on. I called and was told to bring it back. I did at my cost to drive there. The chef who said he worked in sushi for 25 years said "why did I bring it back." I told him why and have been eating and making sushi for 44 years, all over the world including Japan, and that is not how nekitoro is made. He said "that is how we make nekitoro here". Apparently over all these years he did not learn Japanese, as 'nekitoro' means MINCED toro (NOT slabs of toro) with onion mixed minimum, but sometimes with sauce mixed in, most commonly a little Japanese mayonnaise.Toro has been off from here a few times before and I called about it, but this is first time I have been so upset I have written this review.

Some of my favourite sushi on the North Shore (and I have tried many places). Well priced. You used to be able to dine in, but it's been take-out only since the pandemic. They can get very busy at dinner time so order ahead (online).

Their customer service is very very poor. I don’t want to go any more in the restaurant. They don’t told the actual pickup time as well as they also argue with the customer. Wtf??

This place has amazing sushi but just stick to that, I tried there donburi there today and was extremely dissatisfied. Clearly just a sushi place!

Served stale toro. We ordered a pickup on April 28, order #34478Our toro sashimi looked falling apart, grey and smelled acidy. I've tried one piece(yeap, bravery and dumbness in its best) and can't even swallow it, completely spoiled. It's inappropriate. Other rolls and salmon sashimi were fine.

We stopped in for quick take out and ordered a spicy tuna crunch roll and a house roll. What we got was a California roll with avocado and a shrimp and yam roll with California roll filling. No tuna and no salmon on either roll. No recourse because it was take out but we won't be stopping at Mr. Sushi again. The rolls we had were good just totally not what we ordered. And paying for fish when you get mostly veggies and California roll filler is a bummer. We come to Lynn Valley often so we can cross this one off the list.

I don't write reviews but in this case the food was so bad I have to say something. I ordered the all day special & it must have been left over from the previous weeks special. The tempura was soggy, the chicken was so tough it must have been a rooster & the whole mess was cold. i gave it 2 stars because the sushi was good. I've ordered here before & it's always been good but it was so bad I don't want anybody else to get this experience. I'm just happy I didn't get sick. I can't imagine when I would order the all day special again & it will be a while before I go back for anything.

Always on time, delicious and very friendly staff. Amazing pricing especially for the quality they give.. Probably the best sushi on the north shore!

First time ordering from this place and very disappointed with the quality. I found bones in my tuna roll as well as some fish scales on my sushi. Most sushi were cut uneven and didn’t look presentable at all. Do not recommend.
