Since we’ve moved to upper Lonsdale Queensdale has been our place to shop. For the most part we love this store and everything from the produce to the meat are great, however, whenever we buy anything from the frozen section it’s ALWAYS freezer burnt. We do love this store but the frozen section is such a let down.

Some of the best sandwiches I've had in a while. Rule of thumb for deli sandwich places? Always make sure at least one person behind the counter is in a bad mood. For some odd reason you just know the sandwiches are gonna slap. Perhaps it's just the realness for me. 11$ is an absolute steal for the amount of stuff you can cram into 2 slices of bread. I think they could compete with la grotta if they just upped their bread game and started slanging some olive focaccia or something. Definitely a go to if you want a very solid sandwich. Bravo to the staff and keep up the good work

Came for the sandwiches! The girl working was very nice but the sandwiches arent as big as they’re advertised. They stuff the very middle full but the sides of the sandwich are completely empty haha

The best place for all the special quality foods, organic dairy and meat, fresh deli and so many little gourmet luxuries

Best first experience. Will definitely come back. It was our first time and the young man behind the counter was super patience and nice. He explained the sandwich building process and gave tasty recommendations. He was tall-ish and in his mid twenties with facial hair. Very good customer service. Will def come back for the sandwiches that were packed. Nowadays most places are skimping on ingredients, but not here. Cashier was nice too.

I discovered Queensdale Market whilst on a four day mini-vacay from my job in Winnipeg. I was staying in upper Lonsdale and intended taking the long walk to Loblaws. I happened upon Queensdale, which was a mere three blocks from my accomodation on Osbourne Rd East. I was skeptical at first, but boy was I wrong.A big thank you to Queensdale Market. You not only offer fantastic products at competitive prices, but your staff are all wonderful, friendly, genuine people who go the extra mile to assist. Thank you for your service to the community and making my trip extra special!!!

Great healthy option grocery in North Van. Similar to a whole foods, just a smaller version. Decent prices.

Hands down, the best sandwich money can buy in Vancouver. I almost don't want to write this in fear of this place being over run, bit truly "the best".I am a sandwich guy, if I have the option, I will be picking a sandwich, you can have your own sandwich made for you here, tons of selection. I have never been disappointed and I have been getting sandwiches here for about 20 years.I have actually never bought groceries here, I only go for the sandwich, but yes it is also a grocery store.

I'm sad I can't find the glass bottles of roses lime cordial anymore I love the place, new it as a child. I love the deli, great foods and I miss the horse ride for a quarter probly the most.

Agree with some previous posts pointing to the merchandise being sold beyond their best before dates (without notice). While a neighbourhood grocery store is nice, produce quality not always fresh. Staff are very friendly and helpful though and they have a good selection.

I've gone here for the sandwiches for years and they've never disappointed. Always good, always made right in front you. With a large selection of deli meats. Their hot selection is also good, BBQ chicken, hot soups. They don't let you down. Aisles are a little tight but otherwise this is a great market.

My new favourite spot! Customized sandwiches and you have a large selection of meats to build your sandwich. There's also a large selection of salads to choose from. Recommend!

We are tourist from the US and just went yesterday to that store. Everything was so nice, people around are very kind. But then we went to the deli section where we got this lady and young man they were mocking us and they didn’t even try to hide this. I asked a pound of roast beef, then tried to do the proper conversion but they just seemed annoyed. There was a person behind us, the guy didn’t even listen to me and asked that woman behind what she needs before us. That was so unpleasant. We are staying here for the next 10 days and its the nearest store to us, we still would have to go there but definitely avoiding the deli section.
