The sushi was great here. Loved the tempura, ramen, dragon roll. The spicy tuna roll could have been better. Over all, great service and perfect ambience.

We had a family of 7 eat here and everyone said it was amazing. The kids ordered the katsu ramen, gyoza and vegetable tempura. I had the don katsu and everything was delicious.

Ordered from them on Uber today. The lowest quality of sushi I’ve ever eaten. They definitely don’t deserve to have “sushi” in their name. Just stuffed overcooked rice without any connection to original dish. Instant regret.

*UPDATE, 2023* This is nothing against the restaurant or owner, just voicing our experience. Friends and I used to come here once a week for about 2 years and get takeout. We loved the food, service and atmosphere, but stopped coming last year. After multiple attempts, our favorite dishes consistently weren’t as good as they had been and they cost more. (For example, Bake Salmon Roll is $18, when you pay that for one role you expect 10/10, but the last few times it was 6/10). When we ordered the same amount of food we had before the increase, it was too expensive, and when we ordered less, it was a lot spent to leave barely full. We finally realized we’d have to go elsewhere, it’s a shame.-Initial Review-I first discovered Yohachi at the beginning of the pandemic when we couldn’t eat in restaurants. My first in-person experience exceeded my expectations! Yohachi is my favorite for sushi, and I’ve been to many. They offer a variety of options. The quality of their veggies, meat, and fish is top notch. I’ve never been disappointed by any of their rolls, and some creations are unique and unforgettable. I highly recommend the Bake Salmon Roll, Spicy Salmon Sashimi, Deep Fried California Roll or Deep Fried Spicy Tuna Roll, Yakitori, Teriyaki, Mushroom Maki, my list could go on, but you get the point! Its a cool comfy cozy atmosphere, music isn’t too loud, so you can chat with friends. Plus, the staff are welcoming, kind, and always quick to make sure you have enough tea, water, etc.I try to bring friends who haven’t been as often as I can. I love you Yohachi! :)

Picked up a large order in the middle of the day. The quality of fish here is fantastic. Very close to japanese authentic on the staple items. Only things we disliked was the natto maki we prefer the smaller natto and the negitoro had overpowering amount of green onion but that was just our preferences, not their fault. Otherwise the toro and unagi was delicious! My server was pretty awkward and quiet so was a bit hard to order, and there are a bit too much unauthentic and strange unconventional items on the menu but the staples are delicious at least.

With sushi as our favorite food, we did not think it could get any better, but it did! If you are in the area, don’t let it pass you by.

We've been on the north shore for a long time and never had checked this place out. We decided to go for dinner. It was good food and nice service. I was expecting a bit more wow as it was highly recommended but I would just say it's good sushi and I would go

The food was good but they don't have the updated price on their website so Now it's at least 30% more. The takoyaki was OK, the best was the chicken Udon. It's a bit pricey for Japanese food but hey everything is expensive nowadays.
