Heard lots of great things about Extreme Eatery so myself and 4 others decided to give it a try. However, the experience was nonetheless poor. The food was fantastic but the waitress we were given cut one of us off after two drinks.. everyone else was allowed to continue drinking. We initially were seated outside and when there was room we moved inside. The moment we sat down at our new table inside, the other waitress was very unprofessional as she began to vocally bash our table to the head cook, loud enough we could all hear her. The one of us that was cut off after two beers was asked to drink two glasses of water before being served any alcohol, at this point he was done with trying and just wanted water and the bill. When he asked for another glass of water (3rd glass) she then offered him a beer, in the exact moment the unprofessional waitress that had bashed us began to shake her head and have a smirk on her face. After our meals the friend who was cut off pulled the unprofessional waitress to our table to voice his concerns about unprofessionalism, while doing so she continuously tried to cut him off while laughing.

Went to the new place at Arrowsmith Golf in Qualicum. Food was great as to be expected, the wife's margarita was perfect and the tap selections feature local beers. Good stuff all around...HOWEVER, the only complaint I would have is that the chairs at the tables suck. Very uncomfortable. The majority of the people that will eat/drink here are typically older golfers and I personally just couldn't stay comfy in the plain stamped steel chairs they have while we had a quick meal, let alone food and pints after a round of golf. I get it, the chairs are designed to fit the vibe of the decor of the place but please at least add some type of cushioning to these chairs. Rant over...you WILL NOT be disappointed with the food/drinks/service. Top shelf otherwise!

I just slammed the last bite of my bacon cheesburger into my face as I write this. Big kudos to any place that makes their own patties. No one does that anymore. Burger was great. Poutine was good as well, would love to try it fresh in person as we had it delivered. We come to Parksville a couple of times a year and you have my business for round 2 when I come back. Thanks.

Had a brunch to remember with the extream mimosa! Fun and yummy. Sadly inside the restaurant is so small. We were lucky to grab one of the few four seaters. In the summer with the double outdoor patios it would be awsome. Can't wait to go back then.

Overall the food was great, the gyro was a little bit underwhelming, basically just a hamburger patty for the beef one, but wasn't bad. The poutine was excellent as was the brunch special. The children's menu was good. Haven't tried the happy hour but it looks good.Kid-friendliness: Good child options
