I find that the staff at both Port Alberni locations are pretty friendly. When it is busy I find that you have to keep an eye out to see that the topping you want is actually what you get, I got gyped out of bacon on one occasion and cheese on another. As noted by another review the grill machine has been broken for a while, and the other location on Redford has no soft drinks because it is now broken. Stopped in for a quick lunch on the way to Tofino. The ‘Sandwich Artist’ mistakenly started to prepare a 12 inch meat sandwich instead of a 6inch. The meat was taken off half of the sandwich which was then placed back in the bread shelf with the rest of the bread. This was completely the wrong way to handle food.

I've had my fare share of subway in the past, but this store is by far the best subway I've ever had. The staff was very kind and friendly, and by the time I ate my sandwich, I was blown away.Everything about the sandwich was perfect.It had the perfect amount of everything, and I enjoyed the sandwich through and through.10/10, eating here again.
