We moved from Hastings to Coquitlam 11 years ago. I used to shop at the Hastings location for my Italian cooking supplies. I always bought my son a couple of eclairs for his after school treats. Staff there were very friendly. Before Covid I bumped the owners(I guess) in the POCO Costco parking lot and thought they had come all the way from East Van to POCO for their shopping. I did tell them all my good memories of the Hastings store. Then I started to see the van with the logo parking on Nicola Ave a couple of years ago and googled that there is a store. Finally I walked into the store and was told by the friendly girl that it was the same owner as Hastings. My son said to her: how nostalgic to see and smell the same food!We bought one loaf of pesto and cheese bread, a salt caramel St. honour and a pizza dough. Delicious ? all the flavours are well balanced and the texture is perfect.I think for Tricity area, if you want to get some authentic Italian food or pastries, definitely come here. Highly recommend it!Parking: The parking is a bit confusing. The store front has a couple of reserved parking. Even though the next door business has some parking spaces but am not sure if it’s OK to park.

The "large" cannoli is not worth $6. This is not what a cannoli should taste like. The shell was tasteless and dry and the filling was thin, like it had been stretched somehow.Reply: I had the Sicilian. I've had incredible Sicilian cannoli before in Italy, New York City, and Toronto and I'm also of Italian heritage. I understand everyone has their own tastes and preferences, and that recipes vary across Italy, but this is not a premium product worth $6. That's the most money I've ever paid for a cannoli, so I was very disappointed.

Highly recommend Canola King to anyone craving for some Canola, as the name suggests and a cup of hot chocolate! The canolas are light and airy while the shell is crunchy. The ambience is good. They have a seating space above the main area which is set up well.

I had no idea they had a separate space upstairs with tons of seating! Rather than taking a to go hot chocolate, I got one in a nice cup and sat down and enjoyed a treat with my little miss!

to whomever this may concern, I hope this finds you wellIn a recent visit to this cannoli king location, I was presented with the highest level of service and attention that a customer can receive(and I have been many places!). More specifically, the young blonde chap, Martin Zanella I believe, at the front was quite the prince charming. I do earnestly believe that his dedication and nice smile when I walked in, fostered a new found passion for cannoli. With the other staff, they combined for just a delightful experience. I will definitely recommend to others. thank you cannoli king.Kid-friendliness: loves kidsWheelchair accessibility: my grandfather during the vietnam war, was shot in both legs; consequently paralyzing him from the waist down. He was placed in a wheelchair and has been treated different elsewhere. Since our visit he cannot keep his mouth shut about the great accessibiblity.

I ordered a St Honore Caramel Salt & Pecan Cake for Christmas. I wanted a fresh Cake but they told me they only had frozen & assured me it was their best selling Cake. I let it thaw for 4 hours on Christmas day as instructed, before serving. Not one of our guests had anything good to say about the cake. It was completely tasteless. We wound up throwing half of it out after serving everyone a slice. What a waste of $55. I would never order from this place again. I sent them a message outlining my experience,& no one bothered to reply. Obviously, the owners have no concern for their customers or their business. What an utter disappointment.
