We tried Sushi Express for the first time tonight and it was awesome! We ordered take out. Spicy Agedashi tofu, gomae, volcano roll, and spicy tuna sashimi. The portions were large and everything was super fresh. The agadashi tofu was the best we've ever had. The spicy sauce is unique and delicious. Would highly recommend this sushi restaurant!

Major Drop-off in food quality and flavor. I get that the new owners are not Japanese but come on...at least make an effort!I don't know what they do to their imitation crab but it definitely has a horrible mushy texture to it. I feel like it is blended in a food processor to mimic the shredded crab meat to save a few bucks. The rice was mushy and wet instead of grainy and sticky. I personally didn't detect any scent of rice vinegar either. It wasn't bad or old food just not good food.A sushi place that can't get California rolls right is like a burger place that cant make a cheeseburger....DOOMED!I own a food business myself and I know these imperfect reviews leave a mark but it seems like this complaint has been made many times before and the new owners don't feel like changing whats wrong. Please dont ruin a good thing for your own sake!The previously older owners worked very hard to build a trust with their regulars.

They got one of my to go order wrong, but they made it right after we let them know. Great service and great people. Really recommend the food. Good portion for the price. Love it because their rolls are simple. Some sushi restaurants have rolls that are stuffed with so many ingredients that you dont really want. if you like your rolls just simple and not overly sauced, i really recommend here. Sashimi lovers, this is the restaurant you are looking for! Nigiri is pretty small but oh my, sashimi is really worth your money!!!

This restaurant has changed management 2 times in the last 2 years and is a giant disappointment. It’s quality has gone down hill and it’s prices have gone up. My wife said she tried it again and it’s better than it was before. Figured I’d try it, their new menu, that I have in my hand, says open Mon-Thurs 11:30 am - 10pm. It is 8:08 pm on a Tuesday and both numbers inform me the restaurant is closed.

Current favourite spot to grab some cheap but fresh and flavourful sashimi! Their fish is incredible and supple and they're so nice. If you're ever in the area please grab something from this cute little sushi spot. I guarantee you won't regret it. (totally recommend their tuna sashimi!!!)

Fast service, owners are very friendly and the food is top notch. Also lots of variety. *EDIT* been a while since I've been back. New owners, new menu and the food is still fantastic. Opens later now (10:00 - 10:30) too so that is a bonus!
Quality sushi and great service. Their roll master B combo was great food for a decent price, especially the mountain roll. The space itself was small and cozy and seemed like a good place to drop by for some sushi, also their parking lot was so big. Overall, I think i'll be a regular for this sushi spot!

Phenomenal sushi! They currently are under new management and the interior is really nice and cozy. Overall it's an amazing sushi place with great customer service. I had the aburi party box, russian roll, salad and calamari. The owners are wonderful and the plates and everything are really pretty too.

Hadn't been here in a while, so I decided to stop by there to Togo yesterday. Pleasantly surprised to renovate the whole tables and kitchen. They also have an excellent menu selection for both sushi & hot food. Especially, Volcano is the must eat special roll. Fresh & bigger size salmon is also excellent. great service & great price!

Used to get sushi here all the time. New owners and the food isnt as good imo. Temper your expectations of this place now. Gona be looking for a new sushi place i think. Sad to see the old owners go.

I just changed my review and now the number of stars way down to one star. If there was a zero star I would give that rating. It was very disappointing when there was a change of ownership. The previous owners were fantastic! They were friendly and generous. With the new owner, the food quality has dropped. In addition the quantity of the food had reduced drastically. Previously the salmon belly on rice, had generous proportion. With the new owner, the quantity reduced by more than 50%. Does salmon belly used to cover the rice! You would not even see the rice if you have not lifted up the salmon belly. the quantity of the beef teriyaki had also reduced drastically. And the temporary shrunk by more than half as well. If you were a regular patron with the previous owner you would know what I mean when you see the photograph that I'm about to attach. Needless to say, I'm not going to patronize this establishment anymore!!
