The food is excellent. The steak chef is a master, seasoning and cook was perfect. Server was exceptional. She knew all the specials. Recommended some drinks that were very good. Have been here twice now and will make it a for sure stop when i pass through Prince George.

I love going to grand truck. The buck o shuck is SOOO good and I love theirs drinks. Always the most friendly service too. The elk pie is insanely good too. I want to try everything from their menu. Also a great place for a date night.

Oh! This restaurant is now my number 1 Favorite! We had amazing oysters and amazing customer service! Music is really good however it would be best if they have the system that allows guests to control the music as they had before (it would be lit!) nevertheless, the experience was really good and will be back for sure!

It was great ?Atmosphere ?Service, not that good if they do not have much servers, when having them, it might be better.I also found frustrating not being available tables for large groups, we tried to make it, but later they made us move to another table because another group wanted the table same size on the other side. It didn't make sense splitting a group having a similar options available, it was even brighter over this other table...Anyhow, the #elk was great ?

Service was great. Food and drinks came out very fast. Oysters were great but our other food was so bad. Ordered the elk burger. From the start I saw the bun was a soggy mess and the burger was from frozen (grocery store burger) for 25$!!! I felt cheated. Fries were soggy not crunchy. If your getting anything but Oysters take your money elsewhere.

Order the Elk Shepard pie, it was the worst. Tasteless, poorly made, just ground elk with very little veggies, mash potatoes were dry with cheese on top.Server and Hostess were great.

The service was really good. I ordered the Beet salad and it was 17$ but it was really small. Looked like a side salad to me. Very limited vegetarian options and I was really disappointed by the side of the salad and left feeling hungry.

Food was disgusting and when I called to complain they wouldn’t give me a refund but offered a tiny dessert! Don’t waste your time or money here! Stayed at the hotel and picked up the food, Not worth the cost!
Staying at the hotel and decided to stop in for lunch … so glad we did!! The drinks and food was fabulous, service was attentive and exceeded our expectations … the best part … the decor! Comfortable, so much to take in and so much imagination! Would love to have this place in our hometown!

The oysters were outstanding if you like raw oysters. The elk pie was delicious as were the shrimp on whipped feta. Great wait person, there when you needed her otherwise busy elsewhere.

I've been wanting to try this restaurant for a while now due to the raving reviews and photos I've seen online. My husband and I decided to try it out on a date night and were sadly disappointed. Our waitress was lovely. However the food was not. The calamari was rubbery and cold with nothing super special about it (19 dollars a plate you'd think it would have something extra). My husband ordered the peppercorn steak, it had a good chunk of fat he had to cut off and it was a pretty thin cut of meat. My beef dip was great but I had to ask for dressing for my Greek salad as it didn't have any on it. If you're going to charge high end pricing, maybe present a bit better.
Took my boyfriend out for his first dinner at Grand Trunk which is one of my favourite spots to eat in Prince George. Was amazing as always. Service is always speedy thoughtful and done with a smile. We got to enjoy some of the local drafts they had on tap with our appies. We got the Mojo prawns which are by far one of my favourite small plates they offer as well as enjoying some of the best burgers in town. My server Kristina was so bubbly and sweet, she practically knew the menu by heart and was so helpful in suggesting dishes and drinks to try. The atmosphere was fun and relaxed and the music was at a comfortable level. Great place for new people looking to explore the cities food scene as well as to bring your entire family. Will continue to come back ??

We really enjoyed our night out at Grande Trunk Tavern. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. The restaurant was full and busy, but our server/hostess was attentive and charming. My wife really enjoyed the oysters and calamari, while my vegi-burger was quite tasty. This just may be our new favorite restaurant.
