Came upon this gem on our travels to Qualicum Beach. Let’s just say the only disappointment was that we didn’t get to try more items on the menu!The service was prompt and so genuine. The atmosphere was quaint and the food was spectacular!

WOWZA!! This restaurant was recently highly recommended to us so I took my wife there for her birthday. OMG! My wife and I have been to Vienna Austria and did not have any better Schnitzel than this. Check out the menu. They can serve a wide variety of schnitzel with many different accompanying flavours. When we were done our meal I went back to the kitchen to personally thank the chef. Oh and the staff are most excellent. All smiles and buzzing around to make certain that all of your needs are taken care of promptly.I very highly recommend the Black Bird Schnitzel Haus if you are hankering for a schnitzel.Many thanks to the Black Bird Schnitzel Haus for making my wife’s birthday one that we will remember fondly. I can’t wait to tell everyone I know about this gem.????

4 of us went there last week (2 from Comox and 2 from Nanaimo) and the food was incredible. Everyone really enjoyed their meal. We just wish we weren’t so rushed, it really took away from our night out. We were told we only had 1.5 hrs which was no problem. She reminded us continuously throughout the meal and after an hr asked us if we were ready for our bill. We told her we were thinking about having a dessert (which was pre-made) and she sighed and looked at her watch! She brought the dessert and we scarfed it so fast and just got out of there. We tipped well because who knows if the pressure was coming from the kitchen, but we left with 20 mins to spare and a whole lot of empty tables there. Recommend if you aren’t meeting others and are in a hurry.

Ok, I got a kick out of the homey atmosphere. You may not agree. I felt like the place was cared for, maintained and menu organized by, and food prepared by, a couple or family who really loved the place.It was a busy night, but we were promptly seated and served, nice beer, and great food (schnitzel and desert). We are only visiting the area, but would love to come back.
