Chinese (Sichuan) style restaurant inside Olympia Centre (the giant strip mall looking place on Alexandra). This restaurant is located on the S side, next to Seto. Parking is probably the best among all the strip malls along this stretch of road. Lots of spaces. The inside feels like something out of old school China. Plenty of wooden trim, as well as lanterns. Almost feels like the inside of a palace. Staff are friendly and helpful. The staff recommended a large hot pot. My friends and I decided to go for the one with pig intestines and chicken and taro. It was definitely enough for 4 people. The pot comes precooked, so the gas burner is more for keeping things warm/hot. They did mention to not use too much heat, or the taro would burn. The pot had a thin later of chili oil, but it wasn't as deadly as many other Sichuan style places. Some may like things less oily, but some may not. The skewers here are of the cumin variety. Quite tasty. Overall the food was decent, and the value was there. With that said, honestly I've had better elsewhere. The skewers would probably be the most memorable dish here.

If I had read the reviews first I wouldn't have come. I don't often step on thunder in Vancouver, but this time I stepped on it violently. A portion of some kind of signature chicken costs more than 40 yuan, which is half a chicken rack. There is no meat and it is all bones. It should be chicken breasts. The chicken legs and wings are all cut off for other purposes. We all know how much a pound of chicken racks cost. Who can the store deceive with such tricks? Conscience is broken. If you are not short of money and like to chew bones, then go to this restaurant to eat. I will never go there again. There are so many delicious places to eat in Vancouver, it’s hard to go anywhere.

I ordered a taro sausage chicken, fish-flavored shredded pork, and ice noodles. The portion of the fat intestine chicken is okay, and the taste is just normal, not too surprising. Fish-flavored shredded pork is my hometown dish. It’s not the same as the way I cook it, but the taste is average. I don’t know if there was too much chicken essence in these two dishes, but I felt crazy thirsty after eating them. Ice powder has a normal taste.

I haven’t ever been so happy with a Chinese restaurant from the bottom of my heart! They deserve a 5 star, becauseVERY GOOD FOOD + REASONABLE PRICE + GREAT SERVICE! What else can you ask for?We had a group of 4, and we all had a very pleasant experience here! It’s our second time returning, and this is a real HIDDEN GEM in Richmond!We ordered a beef ribs pot! HOLY COW!! The beef was so soft and tender, literally falling off the bones effortlessly. ALSO! The spice and the flavors are on point!! We ordered the mildest spice level, although it was still on the very spicy side for a couple of us and we couldn’t eat it, the flavors were so good!! They have very good service and adjusted the spice level for us and gave us free dessert.Overall, we were very happy with all the dishes that we ordered! Oh, for the desserts, make sure you order the brown sugar mochi (super crispy) and the yogurt donuts (the yogurt filling inside is mind-blowing!)

Chongqing people confirm that this is their favorite bowl of mixed rice and egg fried rice. Dry noodles are more sophisticated than soup noodles, so it is recommended for lovers of heavy flavors to try dry noodles.The only drawback is that the hoof flower soup is a pre-made dish and not delicious.The bowl of mixed noodles, fried rice with egg, and chicken with taro were a perfect win.
