The Cantonese BBQ Restaurant in Richmond was ordered to close by Vancouver Coastal Health more than 10 days ago due to hygiene issues, but has since reopened.This restaurant is located in the Capstan neighborhood of Richmond. It was ordered to close by Vancouver Coastal Health on the 19th due to unsanitary conditions and improper dishwashing. It has since reopened on the 22nd.An inspection report from Vancouver Coastal Health showed that the food at the restaurant was not protected from contamination and that potentially hazardous food was not kept at the proper temperature. This refers to a failure to maintain hygiene in the premises and ensure that equipment, utensils and food contact surfaces are handled in a safe and hygienic manner, and that mechanical dishwashers are not sufficient to remove contaminants.Inspectors also found signs of rodent activity in the restaurant.The report said the absence of a restaurant owner or operator at the time and no employee holding a valid food safety or equivalent certificate was considered a non-serious violation.The Guangdong BBQ Restaurant received a violation ticket in September last year due to unhygienic conditions after a routine inspection.(Reported by Wen Xuting)

I wish they would close it much earlier. The dirtiest restaurants I’ve ever seen. I always passed by this restaurant and I was wonder how filthy the restaurant was and how could people even eat there. Time to get their lesson since my husband warns them all the time about how dirty and disgusting they were.

I go to this restuarant regularly and find the bbq meats good. I am horrified that they have been shut down recently due to unsanitary conditions and violation of health protocols.I can forgive some untidiness, but never the idea that rodents have been running around the place and probably over food and utensils. I shall never go back again, seeing that they had a similar violation only last year and obviously they have not learnt their lesson.Do not give them another chance.

DO NOT EAT HERE! This restaurant was recently shut down by health inspectors for unsanitary conditions and improper dishwashing. Food was also not protected from contamination and perishables not stored at proper temperature. In all, there was 6 critical infractions---disgusting!

The waiter did not give change and deducted the tip herself. She has no such right. The tip was given by me based on her service, not by her.

I used to buy roasted pork and soy sauce chicken at Mingjia BBQ Restaurant, but since I bought soy sauce free-range chicken and roasted pork here, I will never go to other stores again. Their soy sauce chicken and roast pork are really good!

always bustling with customers, so decided to give it a try. duck skin wasn't crispy, bbq pork was dry. meat portions on the slightly small side.
There are details online of this establishment purposely giving you wrong change in an attempt to gain more money. It's absolutely despicable. If you dine here be careful about your money and make sure you are given proper change. Or better yet, avoid any establishment that puts customers last at their expense.

Absolutely flabbergasted by the rude butcher. He accused me of holding up the line for 10 seconds when he didn’t understand my order…Even dropped the container for my food on the floor because he was so impatient. Even the customers behind me agreed that he needs an attitude check…Be prepared to be offended!
