The Mango Sago Pomelo Cream was not sweet at all; it was diluted with water so you could not really taste the cream. The Durian Baked Sago Pudding was tasteless - you could not taste the durian and the sago pudding was sago in a mango pudding that was diluted with water as well. It was not the authentic one in dim sum restaurants where the sago was mixed with custard. The tofu in the Tofu Pudding was good, but the sugar syrup was not sweet at all even though it looked dark brown. So why was it brown? Only the mochi was good - the durian, chestnut, and purple yam were strong flavoured. But they merely put two chunks of mango for the mango mochi with minimal cream (it did not look like the pictures here) . It looked like they tried to save labour. Also, the mochi skin was chewy. We were shocked with the inferior quality of desserts. The good reviews were probably written by their relatives and friends.P.S. When we asked for utensils, the woman there hesitated and she only gave us one spoon and one fork while we bought so much. Moreover, she told us that we needed to eat the mochi asap but the other food could wait. It did not make sense because usually the wet food (e.g. tofu pudding, mango sago pomelo cream) cannot wait while the dry food (e.g. mochi) can wait.

On the afternoon of March 31, 2024, I was consuming the single-origin coffee next door and happened to be sitting in the seating area in front of the store. Although I was about to return to China today so I wanted to rest my stomach and not eat sweets, I accidentally saw the busyness of the store and was busy but not busy. You smiled at me. In the high-consumption country of Canada, such a store’s attitude should be praised??

$$$ CASH ONLY $$$Cars dessert is a well known dessert spot in the Richmond area even though it’s located in a food court of a low key strip mall where you wouldn’t expect such a place. I think they are most known for their mochi and mango desserts. I went late in the afternoon and they were so sold out of most their stuff and so I only got to try the mango dessert. Definitely recommend going around when they open to try the best stuff.FoodMy group tried the black sesame baked tapioca, mango pudding, and another one I don’t know the name for unfortunately. The mango pudding was my favorite of the 3 though and would recommend. The mango pudding was not very sweet actually and had a good mango flavor to it. All the desserts actually were not that sweet. The black sesame pie was interesting since I have not had a dessert like that before. Hopefully next time I can try the mochi and see what the hype is all about!AtmosphereThe store is located inside the food court of a strip mall on the second floor. It can be a little challenging to find if it’s your first time but make sure to locate the food court! Look towards the large window and there you will see Cars dessert. Casual and laid back atmosphere with people talking all around.PricingPrices were reasonable and worth the price. Not too expensive for a dessert.ServiceThe staff was helpful and nice. Food came out as soon as possible since the baked pie required heating (~15 minutes).Other

There was a line even before it opened and they only sell holiday combos for mochi, got the mango pomelo sago as a dessert after lunch, was pretty good, fresh and creamy.

????Durian glutinous rice cake: thin skin and big filling, super strong durian flavor, it should be fresh durian, comparable to what you eat at Bao Yuexuan??Mango glutinous rice cake: The mango is a bit raw, not very sweet and a bit hard. It may not be the mango season yet. There is cream inside, which is not as amazing as durian.

This little GEM is hidden inside a strip mall near the food court and have the BESTT fresh mango mochi! Cash only and limited quantities so come early and be prepared! We were lucky enough to snag the very last box available of the fresh mochi. I spoke to the owner and advised that we were visiting from Seattle and had heard so much about their mochis and wanted to try. She said she was sold out initially, but then when she checked the back she said she had 1 preorder box that was never picked up and offered it to us! It was sooo good, it had 3 mango mochi's and 1 chestnut! We got so lucky and the owner was so kind!Love the variety, hope to be able to try the durian next time we visit. The mango was so fresh and the mochi was very soft! Definitely need to be refrigerated if you don't consume right away bc of the cream. Honestly, we ate these on our drive back to Seattle. They didnt stand chance! We are visiting again this weekend, so I'm hoping I can snag a box or 2 of my favorite mochis :) I would love to bring some back for my family if possible!

We ordered the durian mochi and mango mochi. The mochi is very soft and tender with adequate durian / mango flavor. The mochi “skin” is very thin, allowing great texture. The mochi is good enough to create Interest to try out other menu items. Delightful surprise.

If you're looking for a mango mochi fix, look no further. This tiny dessert shop is my go-to for the little balls of chewy goodness. The texture of the mochi is chewy and light, and the filling is made of real and fresh mango pieces. I highly recommend to come here at least once and try the freshly made mango mochi, sold in sets of 4.Another personal favourite of mine is the Mango Pomelo Sago Cream. It has a very satisfying home-made taste to it and a delightful mouth feel. Not too sweet, and also very fresh, I would recommend this dessert if you're looking for something more soupy.
