Top notch food every time I’ve been here and I’ve been here dozens of times already. Everything is plated and flavored well. This is my no.1 favorite brunch spot in Richmond. You can’t go wrong with with their eggs Benny and lavender lemonade :)

Consistently great food at reasonable prices. The best burger place in town and I've tried them all! Fries are really good, onion rings are very crispy, fish and chips are great. This food, service etc. are always great every time we've eaten here - about twice per month.
Nice little brunch spot in Steveston. Service was very attentive. Brought my youngest here for a birthday breakfast date. Food was very tasty. Place is small but cute. Bacon was a bit overcooked but really nothing else wrong. Would definitely come back

Ok. So I had a few burgers from a few places this week. Dissapointed with most of them.? THIS ONE IS AMAZING. ? The Texas Barbecue Burger from Chef's Playground Eatery in Steveston.Beef patty, smoked gouda, BBQ brisket, smoky BBQ sauce, crispy onions stings,tomato, greens, roasted garlic aioliI would highly recommend! Also get it with garlic fries. Friggin amazing!This burger is probably one of my top faves of all time!Happy Wednesday!

All I can say is, WOW! This place didn’t disappoint. From the outside, it doesn’t look like anything special, but they did a great job with the space inside. With the size of the space, and the quality of the food, I feel like we won the lottery by getting a table. The food, let’s talk about the food. I had the Chicken and Waffles Benedict, the flavors, the presentation, everything was spot on! My son had the Brisket Bennie, it’s now one of his favorite dishes ever. My wife had the mushroom avocado Bennie. We’ve been to many restaurants, some that are much more upscale, but there aren’t many that can match the quality of food and service of The Chef’s Playground. If you’re in the area, do yourself a favor and give it a try!

We had brunch at Chef Playground before and really liked their food. Today we came for dinner on a weekday and was disappointed. By the time we placed our order, we were the only customers left, and it seemed like they had turned down the heat already. The patties in our burgers were barely warm, and the place felt colder and colder by the time we finished dinner, even though it was not closing time for them yet.

I decided to try Chef's Playground with a friend this morning. Upon entering this bright and welcoming establishment, we were greeted immediately like we were regulars with a warm and happy smile. I ordered the Chicken & Waffles Benny and my friend had the Braised Beef Benny. Both meals were delicious! The Chicken and Waffles were a perfect balance of sweet and savory. My friend said that his meal was really good and would definitely order that again. The service was welcoming and informative. She was knowledgeable about the lunch menu and the informed us of the recent changes made. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone and everyone!
