Fairly average sushiUpdate! Sushi still average but the price has really gone up. Lots of sushi restaurants in Richmond with way more value. Even the happy hour specials are over

Used to be good back in the day. Went there yesterday and the food quality is just not the same. Spicy tuna roll had tuna salad in it that was kept a bit too long in the fridge, salmon in one of the rolls was definitely past it's "best before" date... pretty sad. The service was nice, but I am afraid I won't be back because of the poor food experience.

I kind of wondering why the sushi bar staff didn’t tide up their hair or wear the hat ,for hygiene reasons ~the girl who work in the sushi bar her hair was long reach to the shoulder .

The ramen and other food is delicious, but what truly makes this place special is the greeting from all the staff as you enter the door and then consistently excellent service every time from every server. Their lunch prices are OK but the economy is pretty bad for that right now overall.

Dropped by as I was close to Richmond this place is nothing like the one on Robson as I had high hopes the server was good but the food was super mid this coming from a chef I found every dish super basic and would not return the one downtown is worth the visit especially for happy hour. Will not be

Ramen tastes bit on the salty side but still really good with the richness of the soup. Oysters is really refreshing, taste almost fruity.

My nephew, bestie and I waited for this place to open for about ten minutes. We had 0 idea how it would be. The atmosphere was spacious and clean, I think we were the only white people dining at the time, anyway. The waiting staff were very polite and welcoming very attentive. The food OMG THE FOOD WAS IMPECCABLE! I had the Sashimi salad and some take on dragon rolls? My Nephew and Bestie ordered lunch boxes which were also mouth watering (the little man needed help finishing his). I would say ask the wait staff what they recommend because what I ate here was all around fabulous.ありがとう

I ate here 2 days ago. The tuna sashimi was bad. I bit into it and it was instant mush. I also noticed a weird smell once i put it into my mouth. Its been 2 days and i am really sick. I told the staff that the fish was bad. She told the manager but they didn't even do anything about it and still asked for tip. Food portions are really small and definitely not worth it for what you pay. The whole time we were eating it felt like they were rushing us to leave. They were taking away plates and bowls that still had food and it was pretty obvious that my wife was still eating. I asked them to stop taking the food away as it was rude the server just laughed at me and walked away. I would definitely not recommend Ebisu at all. My stomach still really hurts.

Just like most Japanese restaurants in North America, the restaurant interior is kind of dark and old makes you feel like went back to the 80’s- 90’s era, serving very typical North American style bento. The bento price is mark up and yet they serve only water. Unlike other sushi restaurants in Japan which serves green tea, here in Ebisu you have to pay for a cup of green tea and they still expect you to pay 18% tips. I think it already becomes a trend that all the bento price goes up, and yet people still have to pay for their own green tea/ wasabi / soy sauce plus 20% tips. It’s alright, just won’t go back next time when I visit Canada that’s it.

I ate here 2 days ago and it was a terrible experience. I ordered the tuna sashimi. The pictures in the menu definitely does not look like what is shown in the photos. It looks like false McDonald's advertising were everything is 10x smaller when you get it. The tuna i ordered was bad it was mushy and it had a smell. I told the staff and they told the manger who didn't do anything about it. They told me the fish is fine. Its been 2 days and I'm still vomiting and my stomach really hurts. Don't waste your time and please go elsewhere.

Still serve good quality Japanese lunch bento and our family like their mix and match 3 items lunch from their menu. Their price increased a bit but still worth the price.
