Food and two drinks at the Fisherman's Frank food truck was great until... I bit a hard piece of bamboo stick that was sharp on the end, hidden inside a piece of lettuce, rolled in. Worse was that the chef and guy at till there didn't know how to make up for it when I showed them and said "I almost choked to death" twice. All I got was a worried look and a "sorry about that".I paid $30.00 plus 15% tips. If you worked in the food services industry, making up for it goes a long way. Unfortunately they just lost two customers who want to support local, and maybe a few hundred more of my friends' potential businesses. I should have read the reviews first, but the staff there are rude and have an unfriendly attitude towards some customers.I could have sued but all I did was a friendly heads up because I wanted to support local. Not even a thank you for my initiative to help them be better at service. This is a warning to others to be really careful and check your food if you do choose to buy from this food truck. My stomach or throat could have been seriously scraped inside... or ended up in ER.

Awesome food truck. This is what food trucks should be; local business people showcasing local seafood and employing local chefs and staff. Could not get a more authentic west coast seafood meal anywhere!

Amazing food!! Ceviche was to die for! And their halibut burgers are apparently amazing! (They sold out by the time we got there!)

Great food - liked everything we ordered but gave it a star less for the price. Very expensive given it is a food truck plus the seafood is sourced by Frank's boat.

I read an article about Frank's food truck and thought to try his food and give him a support. I love that he is serving fresh local food that either he catches or buys from local fishermen. I tried salmon sandwich Cascadian and it was delicious. It is not cheap but this is high end food. Will come back for sure.

Fisherman Frank’s- the best seafood in Steveston. They feature seasonal, local and sustainable ingredients on an always changing and delightful menu. I cannot wait for them to open again soon!

Visited this establishment after purchasing some amazing catch at the fisherman’s wharf. This truck has a small nice menu serving the local catch. I got the grilled scallops which was very well cooked and their secret sauce was tangy and complemented the scallops well. The food in my opinion is a little pricey and there is no sitting area only standing areas. Overall with all things considered, it was nice experience.

Amazing food. We tried the Cascadian dish which is wild salmon in a bun with tomato and lettuce. All of us (3) loved it. Frank is a very pleasant guy. He is a fisherman and he is selling seafood that he catches. So everything there is very fresh. We will come back for sure . We also want to support local fishermen.Highly recommending.

The freshness and quality are outstanding. Thank you for being local and sustainable!I shall certainly return. As much as I love bacon, I think I would loose it on the shrimp/crab bun.. it was too chewie paired with the delicate delectable seafood.Salmon Berger.. perfect!Spot prawn skewers..divine.. but I really needed a fork?!? for the lovely coleslaw?!?Ice tea..bland!A little disappointed in no mask on the server and cook..

$18 for the food truck burger, and a side for $6 more?? Very expensive!I was on the way to Pajo's (highly recommended by locals), but the guy stopped me with "you should try our food, nothing is deep fried". I saw no people around, but a big line up to Pajo's. The salmon burger was ready pretty quick and tasted okay, but nothing special.Next time I'm in Steveston - Pajo's for sure

Look no further than here for super fresh seafood and house made drinks. I read about fisherman Frank's story a couple of weeks ago and how the food truck came to be. I like supporting local businesses and food is an easy way to do that since we need to eat. It was closed the first time I went. Good thing the hours were posted on the food truck. So I came back again and got to try the special. Grilled snapper with Greek and orzo salad. The snapper was so fresh. It was sweet and tender. The Greek salad was also good, no limp-looking vegs. Crunchy and juicy cucumbers, peppers and tomatoes. The tomato was bursting with juice every time I stabbed it with the fork. I gave up and just popped it into my mouth. Yums. The street corn was also sweet and juicy with a bit of char. Love the toppings on it. There was a promo for street corn and drink ($8). I had the ginger citrus iced tea. The iced tea was lightly sweetened and I found it just right for my taste. The ginger and citrus flavor was very subtle, not overpowering. I like that they made it in house. None of those powder or box tea. I will definitely be back to try the other items on the menu. Friendly staff too. Prices are a bit on the high side for a food truck but the quality justified it. Nothing worse than paying more for mediocre food. Story: vancouverisawesome.com/f…?
