A little bit pricey but the food was decent. The wagu udon was really good. Not a lot of options on the AYCE menu. The staff there were very nice and super attentive, and they played some really great

been here once before for a small birthday dinner and had a good time so we decided to come on a rainy tuesday evening and we’re so glad we did. First of all the food was great, oysters and sashimi were very fresh and delicious, we were pleasantly surprised. There was a limit but think it was pretty reasonable since we left absolutely stuffed. We also loved the aburi, amaebi sushi and pretty much everything the AYCE menu had to offer. For $58 I’d definitely say it’s worth it because some items were definitely premium level not to menu sushi is not cheap these days and the rolls were very good. The service was also superb, they were always quick to remove plates, checked in on us and even had a portal charger ready for use when I asked them if they could charge my phone when my battery died. Overall great experience and will defs come back whenever I find myself craving AYCE.

We had the AYCE offer and have the following observations about it:- the sushi and rolls were surprisingly decent. They were made well and seemed very fresh. You're filling yourself up with a lot of rice here but it seemed like the best quality of food in this offer- the 6 (down from 12) free oysters per person weren't anything special and were some of the smallest oysters we'd ever seen. I guess cost cutting is the purpose here. They were fresh though, to be fair.- the yakiniku part was hands down the most disappointing part of this, especially when "yakiniku" is in the name of the restaurant. It's just a self-serve selection of chicken (not bad actually), overcooked and chewy pork belly and beef (with a fair bit of tendon), and I think one other meat item not worth remembering. If you're hoping to get AYCE yakiniku that you'll actually want to eat, go elsewhere. Maybe it's much better on their a la carte menu (no idea, never tried), but on the AYCE offer, it's pretty brutal and none of us went back for seconds. We should've taken a photo but alas, we didn't. Apologies for that.Again, if you were drawn into checking it out from the IG "influencers", it's another case where they hype up a restaurant that's completely unjustified. Either they went when it opened and were given the best stuff to showcase and it went downhill after a while, or they were just plain showing items not on the menu they're claiming it's from.

Decent place for AYCE however it is quite pricey. It’s $58 per person. I was a bit disappointed that the AYCE didn’t come with any sashimi. The salmon aburi were definitely the star of the show. It was my favourite thing to keep reordering.

Influencers make it look so good but it’s really not that great for the AYCE. There’s only 3 kinds of bbq meat to choose from. They precook it and you pick up from the centre of the restaurant. The Wagyu udon had one slice on beef in it and it was definately not wagyu. Same with the wagyu curry rice. Sushi was meh…. Very disappointing. They enter your order incorrectly and omit the oysters. We had to chase twice for them to finally add it on our order. For $55pp, this is probably one of the worst ayce place I’ve been to.

For the price they charge, it was not worth it. The food was okay, but nothing special. We saw chefs at their work station showing off their dance moves to one another. Very unprofessional. They advertise that it was a group of foodies who wanted to start up a restaurant, and I can believe that as it felt like amateurs trying to run a restaurant. We tried their Miso yaki eggplant, but all of us tasted parmessian cheese on the eggplant and no hint of miso. In a very competitive restaurant industry, first impressions are so important, and I was not very impressed with Kanae Yakiniku.

Will not be coming back. We were a group of 6 who came for a friend’s birthday dinner and were truly disappointed. We decided to do the AYCE which was $58/pp before tax and tip. The menu had sushi and a lot of fried, carb heavy options but everything tasted mediocre at best. To order more expensive items such as blue fin, wagyu, etc., to “eat your money’s worth”, you would’ve had to opt in for a membership or do the a la carte add ons.The daily bbq table featured meats that were being cooked on rotation but unless you grab the meats right as it comes out of the kitchen, you’re essentially just getting cold, tough meats that are being kept “warm” with a heat lamp (which does nothing). My friends had also ordered their Asahi Cocktail (Bubble tea flavoured drinks plus beer), thinking it would be fun to try but they ended up waiting an hour for their $8.50 drinks. We had checked in on the drinks multiple times but were always told a different answer or that they’re “making” the drinks. We had already finished our meal before they got their drinks.Overall gave them two stars for the service since the staff did check up on us from time to time but considering it took an hour for them to make 4 drinks, stating it’s due to the lack of staff, it just means they don’t have the capacity to fulfill this kinda service. I’d much rather they use the manpower and time to focus on the quality of food than to offer money-grab items on their menu. Don’t be fooled by the staged influencer reels/videos. Won’t be recommending this restaurant to anyone.

This place is mediocre at best. It was our first time coming here and the experience was terrible. We got there at 9:30ish and the waiter asked if we wanted to do the ayce or regular menu, since it was our first time we took a look and the ayce said 90 min time limit. We decided to try the ayce menu but found out that they closed in 30 minutes after we had decided. Honestly, I’m not sure why they didn’t tell us they closed in 30 minutes? It felt intentional that they didn’t say anything. On top of that, when we ordered the ayce menu items, everything took so long and the food wasn’t good. We ordered the wagyu udon noodles that took over 40 minutes to get to the table.. we even had to tell them twice that we were still waiting for it. When it did arrive, it was two small thin slices of beef. That took 40 minutes? Wow. They also seemed to rush us too. The dining experience was not good here and I would recommend others do not come here, unless you went to spend $120+ for bad service.

It’s alright. We were a group of 4 for the AYCE menu. Some of the food options were great on the menu. I’d say the oysters, the rolls and some of the nigiri (except squid) were good. They don’t really understand how to serve alcohol and nobody is even a bit knowledgeable on anything alcohol, even beers or sake. The wagyu udon (on the ayce menu) had 2 of the tiniest pieces of sliced beef I’ve ever seen. The bads: lobster soup, squid nigiri (way too slimy), spring rolls (definitely store bought at tnt), prawn tempura (also seems store bought), udon (barely any meat and mostly noodle with bland soup) and lastly, the experience of the staff. Some of the staff seems like it’s their first time working in an ‘upscale’ restaurant. However, they were really nice and they served well enough. The price is a bit too expensive for the quality of food. I feel like the price for the ayce menu should be around $35-40/pp.I hate to rate any restaurant less than 5 stars but I hope the owner or manager reads my review because I think they have a lot of potential and/or fix a few things.

Not only the food was not tasty, it even gave us food poisoning!!My family had the 58 AYCE menu and the food quality and variety did not meet the price definitely. The BBQ was medium quality meat and was pre cooked. The worst part was both my sister and I had very bad stomach ache, diarrhea and threw up many times that night after the dinner. I sent them email regarding this experience and they did nothing about it.Watch out if you are going!

My family and I came for the $59 ayce menu. The grilled meats which were in the middle of the restaurants for those to pick were hot and fresh. Good flavor on all the steak, chicken, and pork. The Oysters were fresh and came with sauce and garnished on each piece. There is a limit of 6 per person on these. They had a good selection of sushi and nigiri. My favorites were the salmon Aburi nigiri and Aburi ebi rolls. The hot appies such as gyoza, takoyaki, and karage were hot and tasty. Some ayce places lack here.Coconut pudding for dessert was a nice treat as well.Overall my family was happy and satisfied. Very full at the end. Kanae Yakiniku came through with a good ayce menu.
