We had a great experience at this AYCE sushi spot. Food came out quick & hot dishes came out piping hot & fresh. We got a booth right away for the four of us on a Sunday opening time. I was surprised how fresh their fish tasted for ayce and quality was great. I did conveyor belt sushi the week before and Richmond Ninkazu's sushi tasted way better and beautifully made. The service was consistently great and they came over right away when we needed something. Can't wait for our next visit! Highly recommend and you can't beat their $18.95 lunch price!

Hey it's AYCE sushi. Let's not be too picky or critical. Sushi is decent, cooked food was better... but be prepared for a huge carb ingestion. Each piece of nigiri or roll lives up to every AYCE spot with trying to stuff customers with too much rice. Still, if you come for lunch and order the basic it's $20++. Can't complain, but I think there are better spots for a few bucks more.

Came to try the AYCE sushi here with a big group of 13 people for Friday dinner around 6:30. I'm impressed by the large groups they can accommodate here, as there was another table that looked like they had 20+ people. It wasn't too crowded, but definitely make a reservation ahead of time especially if you have a larger group. The way it works is there are 3 tiers of AYCE menus. We went with the core menu ($26.95 pp), which only has nigiri and no sashimi. The next tier up is Lite, at $33.95 pp, and the most expensive tier is the Deluxe, at $40.95 pp. Each table has 90 min to order and eat. We tried to ordering asap after getting seated, as we thought food would take a while to come out, but it came out within minutes of ordering each time for all 3 rounds. Not sure how they were SO fast here. We were all kind of shocked. We had a big group and were able to try most of the core menu. To be honest, nothing was amazing, but I thought the chopped scallop nigiri was the best sushi item, followed by the salmon nigiri. For the non-sushi items, everyone agreed the beef short rib, karaage, and chicken teriyaki were the best, though I personally found the karaage a bit bland. I wouldn't recommend getting any of the sushi cones as it's 90% rice and 10% sushi. We also ordered a ton of the seafood motoyaki, which was a huge mistake, because it was one of the least favorite items we tried. Make sure you don't order too much, since there's a note on the menu that wasted food will be charged according to a la carte prices. There's plenty of free parking as Ninkazu is located in a plaza. Make sure you park INSIDE the plaza as the front entrance to the restaurant is located inside. Otherwise if you park near their back door, you'll end up like me and have to walk all the way around to get to their front entrance.

Update On Ninkazu Japanese All You Can Eat Restaurant (604) 207-7799 8388-Capstan Way #1488 1130am-10:30pm My friend & i went there again, don't forget to order the mango pudding. (wink) it's so good. They are always busy & understaff, so you should get an appointment, better than waiting around. They improved since the pandemic. So many changes. The Staff was good, smiling, working hard so i decided to give them 30% tip. so they can be more happy! i definitely come here with my friends again & recommend to others. Though some friends wanted to go again the next day. Lol. too much eating for me.... Prices are good, services are good, food is yummy & most of all washrooms are clean. (wink)

had the regular AYCE dinner menu, about $30 after tax for one. teriyaki beef quickly turned into cold lard just after sitting for a few minutes. sushi rolls were sad and disappointing. chicken karaage was stale and hard.

Was very good. The staff worked very hard and the food came out quick. We ordered and standard menus so options were somewhat limited. All of it was good. It’s an all you can eat sushi place. You can choose from 3 separate menus each with a different price. Good value.

Pretty good for all u can eat- not a lot of rolls but pretty decent. The wait was insane for a Saturday if u didn't have reservations so I recommend making reservations

There was a wait of about 45 minutes they quoted us over an hour. They don't appear to have spider rolls or any dishes with soft shell crab. I really like the dragon roll as the eel was deep fried. Most of the items are per piece not an entire roll so be sure to order a couple of each piece to keep your table full. I wish they had a miso soup too. The mussels were alright and I wished I had ordered more! The oysters could have been done better but were still tasty!

Renovations inside was nice, no need to climb a set of stairs to find the restaurant anymore. Felt spacious as well. We went for a friend's birthday so it was a bigger party reservation. The menu has slightly changed since their renovations but otherwise the same. Food was alright, more of a quantity over quality situation. For example, the agadeshi tofu regular vs. spicy had the same taste, the spicy was saltier and sweeter and not spicy at all (and my tolerance is quite low). Not picturesque presentation. The beef udon was unfortunately bland, their fried rice was good though (chinese-style). Good for the money and quite filling after the first round. You get three rounds total. Service definitely was inconsistent. Washrooms weren't that great, just a heads-up!

There's simply no life in here anymore, not even music. And lawd put the menu on a respirator. This place has a lot of history in Richmond, once a staple of many late night feasts. Unfortunately since the merger I'm hard pressed to find worse sushi. I left feeling like my goldfish had just died. We ordered 6 kappa maki and received 1. Everyone knows you never get everything when ordering at ayce, that's just part of the game. They're better off writing "Suggestion Box" at the top of the order sheet. We all know they take the sheet into the back room, tear it and throw it up like it's the set. Either that or the orders are being called out to the chefs by a pinecone.

Food were pretty bad overall. Not recommended. My stomach was sick and almost threw up after. Be aware of the food quality here. There are better Japanese place out there.

Very close to a 1 star. I haven't been this disappointed in a while. I used to like Ninkazu when it was upstairs next to Parker Place. I haven't been to Ninkazu for about 1.5 years and decided to come in. At first I couldn't locate it as it as it wasn't updated on google. It is now where Richmond Sushi is (merged together). The inside looks like a pho restaurant and there is no AYCE sushi vibe at all. I ordered the condensed milk bun and it was rock hard. I am not kidding, I bit into it and it was a rock no softness to it. If your child has loose teeth this is the item to order. I didn't even eat it and left I on the side. The cones were below average, I only ate the filling. I think it was prepared and sitting out for a while...the seaweed was stale and soggy! The only good thing was the salmon and tuna sushi. The tamago is falling apart ( see photo). They took away many many items that made AYCE iconic; the jello/pudding, miso soup, sunomono, home salad, chicken wings and fried rice. Oyster motoyaki (used to be regular menu now you have to upgrade). I didn't eat half the food so I asked for a new order sheet, the server rolled her eyes and went on to do other stuff before we got the sheet. Mind you, we were sitting right in front of where her POS is. We went up for the bill and the male server didn't bother making eye contact, we thanked him, he said nothing and looked at the tip amount. I left 10% which is more than I should've. It's sad to say I won't be coming here again. I used to frequent Ninkazu a lot.

First of all the place looks like a lunchroom cafeteria, the tables are wobbly and it’s not very nice decor. The food was subpar, mediocre at best. Also, the pricing is not clear at all. Was told $22 on the phone and because I ordered off of the ‘premium’ menu it ended up being $35 per person without warning or explanation. This was my first sushi experience in Vancouver and I am supremely disappointed.
