For the cafe which is now separated from the hotel side. Wonderful local charm. Lots of local steveston people coming here to gather. Decent solid food. But it’s about the character up front. She’s so cool. And the kitchen is always backed up by a solid chef. She’s cool too!

This place is quite unique, bathroom was so modern and nice and rooms are comfortable. Not good for light sleepers though as there is a bar underneath that plays loud music. Nice for a get a way and party night as there is a bar also right under.

We were warned of our stay that it might be nosy because it's above a bar. However we gambled on it being a Sunday night and the bar closes at 10pm vs 2am. The location was convenient to walk around in but it is old (no stairs) but the room was remodeled. I'm sure if there were more hotel guests, it would be louder. I think we lucked out and it was a quiet night. Our room was #2 so it was split junior suite. Super warm at night. Free parking.

The rooms are clean and with the basic amenities like hairdryer and small coffee maker. Room service not easy to get hold of--- best to head towards the Cafe or The Buck and Ear to get food and drinks. Save on right across the hotel as well.Walkability: Close to everything Stevenson has to offer

CAFE REVIEWI used to come here often, prices have gone up and quality has gone down. Menu has alot of good stuff missing now (EX.waffle, yukon hash) Guess the owners are trying to recoup after almost going bankrupt. Servers are great, coffee was great. That's about as much good as I have to say. Wanted to get my toddler a small breakfast but they are charing $10 for a small kids breakfast!! That's absurd. Almost cheaper to get a regular breakfast off their menu. My breakfast had uncooked potatoes (that was taken off the bill). My wife's turkey club was $20! And did not live up to its price. 1 leaf of lettuce and 2 slices of tomatoes thicker then soles of my shoes. Last time I asked them if we could get smaller (more normal) slices of tomatoes and were told "they could NOT do that"?!?! Is there no chef in the back with a knife? All in all. Small ma and pa vibes. But cactus club prices for sub par quality. I would recommend just going to brand name breakfast place because it will probably be cheaper and better quality.

Stayed here 2 nights in the room with 1 double bed and 1 twin bed. Old building but mainly clean. The room was quite small and smelled quite musty upon arrival. I immediately opened the window to air it out and it was much better. The window did not have a screen to keep bugs out however. The beds were very squeaky but slept ok. We got the breakfast package which includes a basic breakfast in the cafe. This is 2 eggs any style, bacon or sausage, potatoes, and toast with coffee or tea. The food was amazing and Miriam was a joy. She remembered our order the 2nd day and was quick to get us served both days. She is a very hard worker and good at her job! The rooms are pet friendly and the location is wonderful. If I make it back that way I would stay here again!

Hotel was old, but renovated. Floor was terribly squeaky which woke others in the room when using the bathroom in the night.Beds were ok… rather firm for my liking.Breakfast at the cafe… that’s a different story. The food was good but the waitress was terrible!!She was ok with us, but treated others like garbage. Incredibly rude and disrespectful. I had a hard time not saying something to her.

I understood I was on the 2nd floor when I booked to attend a Reunion at Buck and Ear Pub. I knew I was on the 2nd floor but had NO idea the stairs were so long and steepMy 80 year old friend had to carry my walker up and down the stairs and I paid an employee to help me when my friend wasnt there. The room was small, not like the photos..We had ONE bar of soap the size of a toonie for the 2 of us to wash and shower with. Shouldn't have to track down more soap. Staff friendlySafety: Long steep stairs to 2nd floor

I stayed at the hotel for one night before heading back to Germany. Room, clean, was too small for this price. Room doors are very thin. Housekeeping personnel is not getting informed by front desk when you got the permission from front desk for late-checkout and knocked pretty strong at regular check-out-time on the door. Free parking is availabe. Breakfast is very very basic and personnel is not very communicative.

Hotel was old but nicely renovated. Floor was incredibly squeaky. It was further from the airport than I expected. Uber was $47.Rooms: Good: Rooms were renovated and clean. Front desk made it easy to check in after hours.Bad: Squeaky floors, hot water took a solid 2 minutes to get warm, beds weren't great (hard).Food & drinks: Breakfast was good but service was slow and terrible. Only allowed one container of condiments for 4 pieces of toast. Very skimpy. Waitress was incredibly rude to a lady picking up food (like skip the dishes). She ignored her for 15 minutes even when the woman tried to ask about the order.

Stayed here the night before our flight home to be close to the airport. Excellent location for this and for exploring the local area as it is situated right in the town and parking was included in the rate. A warm welcome from very friendly staff. The room we stayed in was quite dated but it was well equipped and the bed was comfortable. It was fairly noisy through the night with random clunks and pipe and fan noises but nothing that couldn't be dealt with with a pair of earplugs for a good nights sleep.
