The best sushi in Steveston! Amazing family owned business with the best prices. The miso ramen is our family favorite!

Not many places in town get sushi right, as in Japan, but this place nails it. It's usually the quality of the rice that makes the difference. Soft, not too packed and well balanced seasoning. Quality of fish is great, they used wild sockeye in the Maki trio for 13.50. Very good value.

Cozy family owned restaurant serving authentic Japanese dishes. As a pre-diabetic person, I am very happy to find a place where I can enjoy sushi with brown rice. Definitely will go back again and try one of their sushi platters next time.

I didn't expect this quaint little sushi place to be amazing, but it exceeded my expectations, the quality is honestly quite delicious and I love that the rolls aren't bombard by rice. I would definately come back here. The scallop with sauce rolls were absolutely delicious.

A small restaurant decorated in older Japanese nostalgia style. 5 bench seats, 4 tables for 2. Restaurant is very busy for take-outs, and service is good but food maybe slow if not ordered immediately. Food quality is very good and fresh, at decent prices. Two person had salmon tuna salad, sushi with wild salmon, tuna, scallop, eel and pickled mackerel. Ordered BBQ salmon rolls, Futomaki rolls, etc. Yummy and full. Highly recommended.

A bit pricey for what you get. I know there's a price of been creeping up for the quality. A little bit lacking on the amount of protein as well. But hey, I'll give them a chance next

The fish is very fresh. I've tried so far the spicy tofu salad, the miso ramen and some sushi rolls.

Nice tiny family run Japanese sushi restaurant next to the Sanctuary Cafe. Their ramen texture is good but too little meat! They serve very fresh and tasty sushi/rolls with refreshing Japanese tea. We like their spicy tofu salad and oyako don as well.

I’ve gone here since I was young and it was always my favourite for sushi. I always went there for birthdays and special events. Mary, the owner is so kind and sweet and the sushi quality is too noch. Make sure to visit this underrated sushi place when in Steveston.

The deluxe futomaki is very good. The tea is better than other places, which tend to get watered down.Would’ve liked a bit more sashimi in the chirashi, but the quality of the fish isn’t bad (except for the slice of seared fish which just fell apart on its own). The hotate was good.

It seems to be japanese people running it so it is very authentic. The food is amazing and very cheap! I can highly recommend

Melt in your mouth type of sashimi. But heads up, they are small portions, especially when doing take out

Checked out Village Sushi for a weekend lunch. Tiny, unassuming hole in the wall (8 seats total) run by a Japanese couple. We shared a deluxe futomaki ($7.75), chopped scallop roll ($5.25), hotate nigiri ($3.75), tamago nigiri ($2.00), umekyu roll ($4.00), negitoro roll ($4.75), salmon sashimi ($12.50) and shimesaba sashimi ($12.50). A couple rolls had slightly too much rice but the sashimi was delicious.Simple and fresh.
