Even though the bakery might reflect as closed, Mason's bakers stock their shelves with sandwiches, breads, cakes, cookies and pastries that are available throughout the day. I can vouch for the sandwich and cookies! First rate, and I hazard a guess that the sandwich bread was fresh that morning. The store has just about anything you might want when spending time around Shawnigan Lake. There is a public beach and a great walking trail right across the street. Definitely pop in and check it out!

We love Mason's! It is very quaint with a small town central store feel :). They bake everything in store! Their breads and cupcakes are amazing. They also have great hours of operation.

Wow. Paying double for a frozen pizza. I need to own a convenience store. You can get a fully cooked one down the street for that price. Well I guess that is why they call it a convenience store. We are conveniently paying for a extreme mark up.

Mason's Store is a neighboring convenient store. It has been around since 1956. It is served as a neighboring convenient store due to it being very remote, the closest grocery store is at least 20 to 30 mins drive away. Prices are slightly higher here. Some items are priced very close to a bigbox grocery store. For example: Kettle branded chips for $3.49. You have items like 2L pop priced over $3. The owner of the store was super friendly. She recognized that we are from out of town. We came with friends who live in the area. She told us that our friends are her long time customers and have watched them growing up. The store inside is well organized and clean. There are plenty of free parking at the front.
Just an amazing family owned business. It’s a quaint and welcoming store. Perfect for a the neighbourhood. Has everything you need for a concise rant store. I remember going Masons when I was two years old and would rent VHS tapes. It’s nostalgic moving back up island as an adult and having those memories. It’s great to see the family run business still running successfully!

A local classic loved by kids and adults for a winning formula. Extensive junk food and treats selection with a scattering of necessities such as bread, milk, eggs, canned goods and toiletry supplies. Friendly staff.
