Not sure how this place got 4.5 stars? I had take out from here yesterday. Ordered three rolls between two people. All rolls consisted of a LOT of rice and barely any filling. Tuna slices on top of one of the $13 rolls was very thin and small. Lots of crumb topping on another roll to hide the lack of sushi. Friendly counter person, but terrible food and terrible value for your money. Go elsewhere.

I just had this last night and woke up sick. The sushi was not good quaility at all. Looked like the fish was slapped on top of the sushi and sitting there for hours. Do NOT recommend.

Tried this place last week and the cut on the sashimi was nice, toro was fairly tasty as well. A little pricey but will be my new local fav for now. Definitely recommend.

Sushi is good. Bad to put in the refrigerator. Their rice compared to other restaurants do not do well in the fridge. Gets all hard. Cannot eat it after one day in the cold fridge. never ever fridge.

We have been craving for sushi for a long time. Due to the pandemic, we ate mostly at home. B and I finally decided let's just grab take out, eat out and set up a picnic table at a park or something (due to patio dine in only). Aomori like many Japanese restaurants do not have patio seating. I googled and Aomori was the closest sushi restaurant from where we live. So, we headed over. There were plenty of parking spots and there are couple of stalls designated for Aomori's customers. So I ordered the Chef Special (any special roll, 3 piece nigiri sushi, 3 pieces gyoza and miso soup) with with the Baked Salmon Roll. B got the Spinach gomae with an extra miso soup and a spicy combo (spicy salmon sashimi, spicy salmon roll and spicy tuna roll). If this restaurant was located in Vancouver, I would give it two stars also because of the pandemic I will be generous with the rating. The fish for the sushi were not that fresh. I do see that they do have businesses. When we were there ordering there were 3 other parties at that time. The rice wasn't as flavorful as some other Japanese restaurants and this could be the ratio of rice vinegar and seasoning. B didn't like how they poured the spicy sashimi on top of his spicy tuna and spicy salmon roll. Because the spicy sashimi was very saucy, it made the spicy tuna and spicy salmon roll all soggy. Overall, the food was not wow. We will probably not go back.

One of my favourite sushi places. They have fantastic prices, food is always delicious and they have never messed up my order. The staff is one of the friendliest I have ever met and not only the food is amazing, the staff make you feel like you are the only customer and they make you feel so grateful to have you as a customer. I recommend this place to everybody that I can.

The food was okay. When I went in person and sat in the restaurant the food and presentation was good but take was a bit disappointing. I recommend going inside the restaurant to eat for the best product.
