Ordered the pizza. Authentic Greek style pizza. Amazing homemade crust and sauce, real mozzarella cheese. Make sure you order it “ old school” with the cheese on top of the toppings. Way better this way… and authentic! Great value for the price and the owner is very nice.

My Wife and I recently celebrated our 25th Wedding Anniversary. She loves Greek Food. I found this place based solely on reviews. In the past i have ENJOYED Greek Food, but this restaurant has forever set the Bar for which Greek Restaurants should be measured. Fabulous food, fabulous service, and a great atmosphere. OK, so if not for the decline in quality of one dish in particular, I would probably be scoring a 4 star review. TBH, the staff seem very nice, and I don't have any issue with staff or service.During the covid lockdowns, we tried to give local businesses our business, to try and help the community. When we 1st discovered Assinis, we were very happy with the food quality and portions. One dish in particular, the Roast Lamb Shoulder, was my wife's favorite. However, over the last 6 months or so, that lamb size has shrunk so much, that the last 2 times we ordered, my wife asked why I keep ordering a half order. Of course I'm not ordering a half order. The container felt like there was almost nothing in it, and barely filled a 3rd of the container. TBH, I was not happy to see something so sad, and almost drove it back to return it. The souvlaki seems to have suffered as well. Containers stuffed with rice, but dry souvlaki and potatoes were kind of sad. But not to the extent of the roast Lamb though. IMHO, quantity doesn't replace quality. I truly hope it turns around so we can try them again, but for now, I think we'll give someone else a shot.

We went to Assinis for the first time today - family of 5. We were greeted by the owner, Vick, who is so pleasant and makes all his customers feel like family. The food was so delicious! We had roast lamb and the greek fries. Greek fries were so crispy and tasted so good. Roast lamb was so soft and delicious. Greek salad comes with a home made dressing which was so yummy! We had such a great experience at Assinis. From Vick's amazing personality, amazing customer service from all staff to really delicious food. Highly recommend this quaint Greek restaurant. Will be going back very soon! Thanks Vick for an amazing experience.

We tried the hummus w/ Pita bread, owners favorite appetizer (it's literally called that on the menu which was meatballs in meatsauce and melted cheese), chicken and rice w/ rib combo.+ The portion sizes were huge which was definitely a bonus.+ Owner seemed nice but was a little off-putting with how much he was hovering around the area constantly, but some people might appreciate how much he cares.- Overall the food was very bland which is honestly genuinely surprising to me because it's Greek food. We had to ask for a salt shaker. The chicken and ribs were loaded with spices and herbs BUT, there was basically no salt on it. Huge disappointment honestly because it feels like they remembered to put everything but salt on the food.- We thought it'd be a one off but the meatballs and the hummus were equally bland which is really unfortunate because we were really looking forward to coming here.- The biggest offender of them all was that there was a sign next to every table that said something along the lines of "Please appreciate the workers who actually come in! No one wants to work anymore." Please. I'm tired of small business owners claiming people don't want to work because they don't pay a living wage. It's not that people don't want to work anymore, it's that people want to work for people that value them. Wish I took a picture of the sign, it was extremely tacky.in conclusion, bland food (but big portion sizes and decent prices) & off-putting signs by every table will not be having us coming here again.Unless the food being bland was a one-off and the chefs were having a rough day, I'd save your money and go elsewhere.2/5 overall.

We had the opportunity, let's change that to pleasure, of eating at Assinis Greek Restaurant. first I would have to say its a nice looking place, not too small but quant with lots of Greek images, very relaxing. Everyone that greeted us were very pleasant, and made us feel like friends. Ordered and the food came very quickly (meaning the food was fresh and hot). the Salad came first and we all had the Greek salad and it was fantastic, I usually nibble at my salad before the main course comes out, but I quickly finished it, Highly recommend it for salad.The main course was fantastic, I had the Greek ribs, flavorful and cooked to perfection, as was everything else on my plate. Wife had Lamb Souvlaki, and she did not have time to talk, she was so busy enjoying her meal.All throughout our visit Staff made us feel at home and well cared for. We are definitely going back there.

My favourite birthday dinner ever!! I highly recommend eating in the quaint restaurant. The owner is amazing, great storyteller and the food is unbelievable. The flavour is perfect. Everything was cooked perfectly and portion sizes are huge. The Greek salad was the best I have ever had with a yummy creamy Greek dressing. So good that I bought some to bring home. Great value for your money. Definitely our families new favourite place to go out and have dinner ❤️❤️

The owner told some amazing stories about the history of the establishment which provided some amazing insight to the taste of this wonderful restaurant. Was in the area and read the reviews so decided to order take out pizza. Small local Greek restaurant with polite staff. Got home and started to devour the Traditional pizza substitute olives for onions. Lots of toppings and massive amount of cheese! So much that one slice had like 1/2 centimetre ... though I love melted cheese maybe a bit overkill but the pizza was oh so good. It was worth the price for quality and quantity. Next time will try the souvlaki with Greek salad with the famous dressing.
