First time coming here and the service was amazing. The lady serving us was so nice and welcoming. I had miso soup, the tuna and salmon combo with yam tempura and it was all delicious. Since it was my birthday, I also got 2 mochi ice cream! The decorations and everything were also very cool and interesting.

Average sushi. The California roll was good. The Rockstar Roll was the best thing we ordered - delicious seared scallops on top. But the oshizushi wasn't torched enough for an aburi/torched sushi. The deep fried California roll was just OK.Would be 3 stars, but the udon was very disappointing, bringing down the overall rating for me. The broth had no depth to it. It honestly tasted like an instant noodle soup, or like a Soya sauce base mixed with hot water.This place was decent to satisfy a craving, but not quite good enough to bring me back for more.

One of our favorite places to go to for spicy chirashi don (Korean style)! Their service is always excellent! Very attentive to their customers!Vegetarian options: Their tempura is perfectly cooked! When you try their prawn tempura...it is perfection!! Nice assortment of sweet potato and yams.
It was a place where food, service, and atmosphere were all perfect. I wasn't able to take many pictures because I was too busy eating, but the sake was delicious and especially the draft beer... I think this is by far the best restaurant.
Very unhappy with the food at this restaurant. The beef teriyaki was filled with fat and the sauce very watery. There was a hair found in the miso soup and to top it off they don’t clean the poop vein out of their prawns. When talking to the manager he just played it off like he didn’t know what the poop vein was Well if that’s the case than obviously you don’t clean your prawns !Gross

Love this sushi spot I'm surrey! Every time I'm in town, I try to go here and always love it.Great atmosphere, especially when you get the booths. The staff are quite nice and attentive. Food comes out quite quickly.We love getting the oshi sushi...but there are a ton of other great options here.We highly recommend it!

First review, but I have had this bento box at least 12 times so far. I often go here for lunch as I work in the area. Everything about this place is amazing from the price to the food to the tea. Lets start with the tea, I never knew roasted rice green tea was a thing, but now that I know about this tea no other green tea will do. Smoky, sweet, unique and bottomless of course. This is the chicken teriyaki bento box. Every single item is on point. The spring rolls amazing, the tempura crispy and fresh, the cali rolls are chock full of crab and freshly made, the salad amazing, the chicken is a thigh grilled not fried the sauce is thick and flavourful not overly salty, the vegetable mix is great the rice good. The value for money is incredible, this is about $15, I don't actually remember even though I've had it so many times. The service is super quick, and they give premium candies to top everything off. Highly recommended. I will be there next week as usual!

Wooooow. Originally chosen for its name (Isshin is the name of Ichigo's dad. Ichigo's dad's voice actor also voice acted for Minato, Naruto's dad. Minato's coat design is painted on the wall of Isshin. COINCIDENCE???) I love, love, love how this place was decorated. I couldn't stop looking around. As it is with most Japanese restaurants, the staff are Korean. But they really went all out for authenticity at this place. I believe they even hand-wrote and hand-drew many of the decorations around. Lots of attention to detail here I just love being in this restaurant for its atmosphere alone. The food was also fantastic. I had a variety of little snacks (avocado nigiri (lol), korokke, gyoza roll, veggie tenpura) while my partner ordered the whole BBQ unagi. ALL of this food was delicious. I shared my dish with my partner and, I'm not great with seafood, I tried the unagi. It was cooked perfectly and very very tasty. I want to visit again! It was a little difficult to get the attention of the staff to get a bill but I prefer that over being talked to excessively by staff.
