This is certainly a hidden gem, as others have also noted. The food was rich and flavourful. There was a good variety of authentic dishes that leaves you wondering which one you'll choose - because they all sound so good. We ordered soft tofu stew, beef noodle stew, and spicy squid with salad. The service was good and the prices were fair. I enjoyed every bite of my stew. I highly recommend giving this place a try, and if you're vegetarian or vegan, there's something there for you too.Vegetarian options: Two cold noodle dishes are available (one in a soy milk broth and the other in a mustard and vinegar broth). Wheelchair accessibility: The entire restaurant is one level along with tables that can be accessed by wheelchair.

I used to come to this place for Korean style Chinese foods as the foods were the best in terms of price and quality. However, I was disappointed to find out it was gone. A few days ago, I happened to drop in to try their new Korean food menu. Wow, I was happy to find out the old owner is still working, and the food surprised me (actually a group of four) with the high quality and generous portion. The price is reasonable, rather cheap considerting the size of each dish. Although I don't live nearby, but I will definately come back whenever I want to eat Korean foods.Try Yangutang and Ganpunggi. The best one among Korean restaurants in Vancouver.

I thought i found this hidden gem and invited my wife to try it.I ordered the beef bone soup for $15.95 - it was terrible. I would guess it was from 2 or 3 nights ago. It was tough and unpleasant.I let my wife taste it, she said "why does it taste bad?" Very, very disappointed. The people running this place don't care about their food - because if they do, then they would offer the best of what they have, like the other restaurants do.We might never ever come back to this place.

It is a small restaurant but tables are spacious. Food quality and portion is ok , although the bubimbap is a bit oily. The key reason for 3 star is the cleaniless of the restaurant, u can feel a bad smell when entering the restaurant, and the floor is quite slippery (oily feel).

Really liked this place before but they changed their menu and removed the black bean noodles which is a shame. Food is still decent though.

Tasty, affordable, great tasting home cooked Korean food, nothing fancy just authentic Korean food just how it's supposed to be.

They screwed up an order but what they did next to make up for it was a masterclass in customer service.Thank you very much Ajuma who made it all better. Food was delicious. Kimchee fresh and the fried fish was simply amazing. Ill be back 100%

The Best value for Jokbal.Biggest portion so far I've ever seen- especially side spicy radish. They do have some ups&downs for the main dish taste (Sometime a bit saltier, sometime super great..etc) but at least never disappointed.I do miss their old Korean-Chinese dishes too, but time has changed and restaurant should do what's best for them.

Great value for great portions and quality!I happened to check out restaurants near my office and found that this place apparently reopened with a new name. I'm not sure if they performed renos as it was my first visit but their website indicated that takeout orders have a 15% discount until the end of May. Ordered these two dishes (the bulgogi deopbap and galbi tang) - totally worth. The beef in the rice dish was hidden underneath. It was more than expected actually. Will return!

It's disappointing they've decided to drop the Chinese-Korean dishes from the menu and now only serve the pure Korean dishes at jacked-up prices.Notably, their signature jajangmyeon (black beam noodle) and jjamppong (seafood soup) have disappeared from the menu, and quite honestly there is no reason to choose this restaurant when the interior is quite gloomy (doesn't really matter with COVID) and the new menu is no different than other Korean restaurants in town. It's a pity as I used to love the Korean-Chinese dishes here, and those Chinese-Korean dishes are what differentiated this restaurant from other Korean restaurants. I hope they would bring back the Chinese menu items from Mal Li Jang Sung time.
