Went for lunch today and we split a sashimi box. After eating the salmon and tuna sashimi, I got to the hokkigai (surf clam) first peice was good but the second peice as soon as I put it in my mouth I could immediately tell it was off. I bit into it and it was sour tasting ! I spat it out on the plate. When the server finally came over (no one came to check on us the entire meal) I let her know. She took it away and must have talked to the chef because she said they tried it and it was fine. So was the first one I ate though. There is a chance not all of them were spoiled but the one I had to spit out was definitely off. I eat the surf clam frequently and I know what it’s supposed to taste like. It seemed like they thought I was making it up ?They brought the bill and charged us full price. Not even a 10% discount. That’s not the point, but the gesture would have been a nice thing to do. Pretty poor customer service. I probably won’t be back anytime soon.

The service here was fantastic! We ordered a lot of sushi and Tonkatsu Ramen, all of which were delicious and was served in a timely manner. The staff check-in on us regularly and made sure we had everything we needed. Definitely coming back.

Very disappointed experience. Yes, we arrived 7:54 pm and restaurant was closing at 8:30 so a bit late ( reason why we went for simple sushi dinner). Only 4 other guests on two tables. We were told at the door, that we must order by 8 pm or go somewhere else. OK, no problem. Got the table, felt a bit pressured with time so we ordered just tea, miso sups, Steveson rolls for my wife and tuna & salmon sashimi dinner for me. Waiter got our order and the menus and left. When he came back with the both of our dinners, I realised the sashimi does not come with rice so I asked - at exactly 8:02 pm - if I could add bowl of rice or salat to my order. A blunt "No, it's after 8 pm" .. Well, salmon slices were OK but the tuna frozen .. I mean frozen solid. I had to wave to get waiter attention to come to our table, advised him about the frozen fish. He took my dish and came back 3 minutes later with same tuna .. not frozen anymore, but still very stiff, cold and tasteless..Few minutes later, 8:15pm another waiter came with payment terminal and asked us to pay .. now .. in the middle of our dinner... at 8:15 pm as they apparently wanted to close the tilt.She just stood there with machine in her hand until I got my wallet out and paid. What a bitter taste from paying $50.00 for 20 minutes of anything but expected good Japanese sushi and famous hospitality. Extremely disappointing experience!Parking: Shopping Plaza parking

I would love to have tried the food here but they refused to make my wife a vodka soda.They had Vodka, they had soda, but couldn’t process how to mix the two. They had vodka drinks on the menu….. it was really odd.They even checked with the manager on duty…
One of the best sushi places I’ve been to, it’s been recommended to me by many people and I can see why. Food is excellent, one of the best unique sushi rolls I’ve ever had, very creative, well balanced in flavours and variety in textures. Inside is very clean and well decorated. Staff are very friendly and service is so quick. It doesn’t get overwhelmingly busy but there’s a healthy amount of customers coming and going.

This restaurant is located within the Semiahmoo Shopping Center complex. Although there is a large parking lot, it is usually quite full during peak hours. The restaurant itself is spacious inside and the menu offers a wide selection sushi and bento options. The service is mediocre since I had to wave down the waiter several times. The food came out after about 15 minutes and was hit-or-miss. The Takoyaki balls were delicious, but the sushi rolls were average. The beef bento box was drenched in Teriyaki sauce.
