Great ambiance. Bakery goods, brunch, soups and sandwiches, coffee, teas, etc. Lots of soaps, bath salts, food to look at and buy. Patio seating. Nice staff.

This place is great if you live in the rosemary area! Hours are a bit tricky, we have gone more times when closed then open BUT once you try the ham and cheese croissant you will be a regular for sure.Don't let the price scare u away, its worth it!!!

Not sure about the bad reviews. I hv tried this place couple of times and I loved their pie and their chocolate raspberry muffin was sooo fresh and tasty. I can't wait into have the muffin again. Will try their coffee next time.

The food is always delicious at Modern General! We love the coffee & breakfast in particular. The avocado toast is delicious and my husband loves the frittata on a bagel. You can't go wrong with any of the baked treats either. Laura is kind and enjoys getting to know her customers.

Yum, yum, yum!!!! If you haven’t been here you must go. The baked goods are so delicious.My favourites are the chocolate cake and cinnamon muffins. I love their Americanoes.Sometimes you have to be patient waiting for your coffee or food but it’s worth the wait I love supporting local businesses.

Was graciously let in even though I came after business hours had ended. Lovely customer service experience! And delish food.

Wow! What and overpriced lunch! $10.24 for ham and cheese croissant sandwich. It was a quite small croissant, burnt on the outside, very little cheese -and my daughter said it was cold in places. We waited 10 min for this disaster. We wandered around the store for 5 minutes and then we were told to wait outside for the remaining time. (I know these are times of covid, but no one else was in the shoppe!) For this kind of price I would think you could get a piece of celery? Carrot with it? Nope. Just a sad piece of brown paper towel. I should note that I received a thoughtful $10 gift certificate to use here - and I'm sure the gift givers would be horrified to know that I received such a disappointing meal for my daughter. With prices like these - no wonder the business is for sale.
