My wife phoned Saturday morning to see if they have any mocha cakes ready to purchase. The clerk said that they did not but they can make 1 and have it ready for 2:00pm. Perfect!!!! We arrived at the bakery and were treated very nicely and they showed us the cake and it was brilliant. Had the mocha cake after dinner on Easter Sunday and it tasted fantastic. Would definitely recommend Venito's Cakes!!!!!! Awesome job to the staff!!!!

I called yesterday to see if they had any pre-made cakes on hand for pickup and was told they had a few and that they could also make me a st.honores cake. I heard good things about this cake and was happy that they could do this for me in such small notice. My cake was ready for pick up in less than an hour and looked amazing for my hubbys bday. My family and hubby enjoyed the cake so much and we can't wait to have it again. Thank you to the owner who was pleasant and so nice to me on the phone and accomodating. When I came in she greeted me and guessed my name right away. Thanx again for making my hubbys bday extra special. Rosy

People were nice. Had to wait a fair bit for pastries takeout for a special occasion and there was only one couple ahead of me.We were all disappointed in the cannolis. They didn’t seem fresh and flaky. Wouldn’t order them again.

Update: not sure why I was requested to email Veneto’s Cakes following my review. I emailed but no response.I ordered a last minute birthday cake (st honoré cake) for my husbands birthday - ordered at about 10am for 4pm pickup). All was ok - friendly and no obstacles for same day order and pick-up. We have order this cake at Veneto’s for years and it is always very delicious including this time around. The problem was that in all previous experiences the cake was taller which made each slice a perfect serving - this time the hight of the cake was half of what it has been in the past and when cutting it the sponge was not sufficient to be able to cuting a decent slice - it almost seems like we bought half a cake rather than a whole cake. It was missing a layer. Not at all like in previous experiences

The front of house needs a good cleaning!!! Wonder what the kitchen/bakery looks like? Ordered lunch special - cup (1/2 c) of soup and (half) toasted BLT with wilted lettuce and unripe tomato for over $10. Definitely not impressed and will not return.

While their cakes are beautiful, the Christmas cookies were not. They looked like a they were decorated by a child. The price paid for the cookies was not worth it, I must say I was very disappointed.

I seen the cake pictures on google and decided to stop by and see if there was cakes, we lucked out and got the chocolate ganache mousse with whipping cream and wow it is so amazing everyone loved this cake! We are from Edmonton but when we come back we will definitely visit againWe also tried the lemon mousse and rum ball they were just as amazing.
