I gave a 3 star overall due to unfriendly/unhelpful staff. Two individuals in particular. Two young woman, one in a dark long sleeved shirt and one in a striped red and white shirt.I came in today around 3pm for a coffee and a pastry with a friend. They were chatting happily behind the pastries, dark shirt came to the front and immediately dropped her friendly expression and avoided eye contact.I ordered a coffee and a pastry, she put it through said it'll come up on the machine and went to get my pastry. It wasn't put through, so I waited while she continued her friendly conversation with red/white shirt and got my doughnut. When she returned and realized she hadn't put it through, her expression immediately changed and it felt disingenuous. So anyway, I waited at the bar and a young woman in a green cardigan with winged earrings was making my drink. When she put it up, the flat white wasn't topped all the way up. She explained that it doesn't fit in the Togo cups, but fits the small cups and showed me the for here cup. Totally plausible, I accepted the reason.Well red/white shirt walked up to her and proceeded to coach her, advising that the milk does need to be topped all the way up. I'm literally standing in front of them during this and she doesn't once look at me or offer to fix it. So I spoke up and asked for a redoGreen cardigan said she would steam more milk and top it up. I appreciated her doing that. Of the 3 people I interacted with, she was by far the most helpful/approachable, so her service was great. As my friend and I sat with our coffees and chatted, I occasionally looked up and saw how dark shirt interacted with other customers, and her demeanor was inconsistent with them as well. If someone is having an off day, perhaps they shouldn't be the first point of contact. The coffee/pastry/atmosphere were just fine, but I don't feel encouraged to come back.

I've enjoyed 49th parallel coffee lots of times but this was my first time actually visiting the Cafe! (I'm from Alberta). Such a trendy and bright space, delicious lattes and so many options for vegan baked goods! I got an almond milk latte and vegan banana bread on my way to the airport and I will most definitely be back! Perfect latte and super fresh baked goods, I wish you had a location in Edmonton!5 happy coffee-fueled stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Vegetarian options: Lots of vegan donut flavors and several non-dairy milk options to choose from.

The cafe was busy with people steadily coming in on a Sunday morning. I had the gluten free vanilla donut which was good. I almost didn't go here because I didn't see any reference to dietary options on the page overview so they could be better about highlighting those options. They also had oat or almond milk alternatives. They have minimal seats inside but have a large enclosed patio.Dietary restrictions: Small selection of gf and df donuts available.Oat and almond milk alternatives for drinks.

The staff have always been friendly and nice. They look like they want to be there and are helpful. The coffee is really good. I should know as I am a master reviewer. The only issue that I have is that it is such a good cafe that it ruins all other cafes for me. 10 spoons out of 10 on my world famous spoon rating scale.

How did legal tender not become mandatory to take? This place won’t accept cash and this poor review is solely based upon that.7 of us were ready to order and eat and have coffee and 7 of us left due to their no cash policy.A bit of a joke and really sad ?

Legendary Lucky's Doughnuts started here in Kitsilano. The shop is always bustling, making it very hard to find a seat. Sometimes, I really crave Lucky's Doughnuts, so I don't mind walking more than 30 minutes to get there—I don't feel guilty about indulging! Since they opened their Main Street branch, I've been frequenting that shop, especially when I go with friends. Both locations and their other branches maintain the same delicious taste that I love. You can trust any Lucky's Doughnuts shop for the same quality anytime!Parking: hard to find a parking spot

Super busy on a Sunday (or course!) but service was relatively quick. I had the maple sea salt latte and my partner had the Venezuelan latte. All was good, and lots of nice seating.

Coffee - it's very good and ranks right up there.Ambiance - Not great. The layout is cramped and the enclosed patio is awkward. Most people are courteous and close the sliding door so that the street noise and cold doesn't enter but enough don't do so to the point that management should consider a self-closing door.Staff - This is by far the worst aspect. I've been here a number of times over the past few years and can't recall one occasion that I walked away thinking I had a pleasant experience with the staff. They range from so-so to having a poor attitude, even though I was always very courteous when ordering and always left a 15% gratuity. On a recent visit I noticed there was no sugar and the staff member acted as if they were performing a huge favour in walking out and refilling it. I was there today and the girl at the till looked miserable and her attitude matched. The others behind the counter also looked like they would prefer to be somewhere else. I also frequent the North Vancouver location and the staff there are great, so I am not sure what the issue is with this location. I won't return.

Always a busy spot on the weekends. Lovely coffee selection, especially light roasts (Palestina particularly). Donuts are a must have too.My chief complaint about this location is the management of the flow of traffic. Only one door is open at a time, and the line meanders such that you have to wait outside until there's enough room to get in. This creates confusion because people crowd the ONE door to get in/out, and the fact that the second door is locked frankly feels like a fire hazard to me. I'd like to see management make some efforts to do crowd control, as people get pissy in line and this entrance is impassible.Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp to get into building, but only one door open at a time which may be problematic for a large mobility device.
