We first visited this restaurant since many years ago, we like the clean and roomy dinning room, foods are good but services is always lacking, should be better and friendlier.

This is a hidden gem. Their food is the real deal and the portions are large. Prices are really good as well. Love how you get complimentary Cantonese soup. I used to live in Hong Kong and this place is as authentic as it gets. No bells or whistles but a very comfortable atmosphere. This is the type of place I’d bring my parents make them feel like home.

This has been consistently our favourite family restaurant for 16 years. Highly recommend the screamed rice noodles (please dont ever fix that menu) and they have the best lemon chicken ever. And their egg-foo-young is my comfort food. :)

If you are looking for a comfort food HongKong Style restaurant, this may provide just that. Service is kind for a Cantonese style. (English language may not be the best but quite decent if you speak slowly). Food is quite good. Hong Kong style milk tea is good. Cash only. :)

The size of the dishes are good and tasty. The waitress are very friendly but they are understaffed.

I was in the area and saw this place and despite all the negative reviews i decide to give it a try cause i was starving. The food here was not good at all, flavouring was way off on the soup and the curry I other tasted bitter and the other dish I other was so flavourless. The service was decent atleast. The atmosphere fairly decent as well but I do t think I be coming back here again. Should have listen to the reviews cause it was spot on.

I think this place deserves a second chance, most of the reviews I think are before 54th cafe changed chefs. The 5 times I’ve visited 54th cafe over the span of a month they’ve been incredibly consistent. Every fried rice, pan fried/stir fry noodle, braised dish has been full of wok essence (鑊氣)One particular dish that stood out to me is the braised tofu with roast pork belly on rice (火腩豆腐飯) it’s probably the best one I’ve had, compared to the other ones I’ve had at other Hk cafes around the neighborhood (sun tin day, the one bbq, Angel cafe) the dish itself looks great, with the green onions and carrot slices, not just a brown saucy mass, and literally the most ingredient full version compare to the other place I listed above, the pork doesn’t have that overnight smell/taste and is not drowning in sauce.I don’t really care about the service or atmosphere, just as long as the place is relatively clean and orders arrive at a reasonable timeframe, this is a Hk cafe after all.

It had been years since we last ate at this Hong Kong style cafe, located in Champlain Square. It seems as though it's gone through some changes. Renovations, new menu, a website (which they never had before), and I'm guessing new management is behind it all. Whatever the deal is, I think it's all been for the better. We were very impressed with our dinner here.Lobster with Fried Rice steamed in Lotus LeafShrimp and Scrambled Egg with Fried Rice NoodlesMushrooms & Egg Foo YoungStir Fried Pea TipsThey didn't serve lobster anything on their menu that last time we came here. This Lobster with Fried Rice dish was quite nicely done, and there aren't a lot of Hong Kong Style Cafes that serve a dish like this. The Shrimp and Scrambled Egg with Fried Rice Noodles was my personal favourite. It had lots of "Wok Hei" flavour in it!I can't wait to come back here again!Service: GoodParking: Plentiful and freeLocation: 7088 Kerr St., Vancouver, BC
