The vibes were right. A good way to taste different cuts of meats. A5 was fun to share with friends too. The booth seating is for parties spending 250 or more cad from what was mentioned to me. Otherwise its high chairs on the bar.

The tasting platter let's you try a variety of different cuts of meat for the price and definitely recommend trying if you don't have any particular cut you want to go for. Biggest recommendations is 100% to get the wagyu oil rice which was super flavorful.

The quality of the food was good. The staff were very polite and grilled the meat to perfection. We ordered the deluxe set for 2 person and upgraded the rice to wayru oil rice and they tasted awesome. There was lots of food for both of us. Will come again.

I came here with my date and we sat at the counter seats (tables I think are only for groups of 4), yet it was still an intimate experience with enough privacy as there are dividers between couples. The ordering experience is unique where you scan a QR code add items to your cart and place the order via phone. We ordered the 'holy cow' platter for 2, spicy beef soup, and Hokkaido scallop miso soup.Everything was excellent! The quality of the beef was comparable to what I ate in Japan, really high-quality cuts of beef with lots of fat marbling. My favourite cuts were the short rib and the rib-eye steak. I love how simply it was prepared, using little-no marinade for the beef, highlighting the taste of the meat rather than the seasoning so you can taste the quality and natural flavour of the beef.Provided are 3 dipping sauces, a house sauce similar in taste to ponzu, pink salt, and lemon/yuzu sauce. All the sauces complemented the meat super well and were not overpowering. The portion was great, and there was enough beef for the two of us to grill.Onto the soups, the spicy beef soup impressed us with the steak chunks and egg drop. It was flavorful and went well with the side of rice ordered. The Hokkaido miso soup was also great with many pieces of salmon and 2 large Hokkaido scallops in it -- each maintaining its flavour still and not drowned out by the flavour of the soup, unlike some places. The whole experience was so fun too! I love grilling meat, and although my date and I were seated together we each got our own personal grill.I would highly recommend coming here!

Good experience, and I really liked the uni scallop appetizer. Definitely as expected but nothing crazy amazing. Good for a slow eating date night with a variety of meat and sea food to grill.

Most staff were nice and one of them even took the initiative to help with some grilling as they want to ensure our food doesn't get burnt. The counter tables were big but the bar seats only had low backings. Food quality is excellent and the portions were good for other smaller dishes.

Although you can cook your meats and veg yourselves we opted to have our server, Kevin do the honour. He was professional, knowledgeable and really skilled. The grilling was perfection and he gave us tips to enhance flavours to make the items tastes their best. A great restaurant with good decor and low background noise making it easy to talk with your friends. The meat quality was excellent - our party of 6 got the Super Holy Cow and the seafood platter. The veggies are limited. The dipping sauces are nice as is the truffle salt!

Decent quality of beef but not sure why there is a huge distinction in service. We were asked to use the QR code to order ourselves whereas the others were given actual menu with the waitress taking their orders. Also, the waitress helped other customers (several tables) to cook their meat but didn’t offer us. I will not return.
