The food was exceptional. Probably one of the best steaks I’ve had in a long time. The Smokey flavor really stood out and was cooked to perfection. Patrick our server provided an exceptional dining experience and was very attentive. Can’t wait to come back.

The cappuccino and latte tasted like a cheap dark roast, and the brewed coffee was disappointingly watery. The smoked salmon omelette was overloaded with salmon, accompanied by an odd choice of excessive fries. The chicken french toast was soggy and lacked a kick of flavor, with diced cucumber pickles that didn't quite complement the dish. The garden salad was passable, but the choice pickles were off-putting. For a restaurant with a reputation like Black Walnut, we expected more in terms of quality and creativity in their brunch offerings.

Lavish decor and super vibey ambiance. The classical guitar music that was playing while I was there matched the setting perfectly. We ordered the tomahawk for two! It was salted and cooked perfectly.Service was very attentive but not overdone. Washrooms are open concept and very clean.Great for a date night or with a group of friends. Would recommend. Overall, quality.

Came here to celebrate a birthday! All the food was exceptionally good! We received a complimentary slice of corn cheesecake for our celebration and I know it sounds like an odd flavour but it is so worth a try! It is light as it is more like a a Japanese cheesecake. Our server was friendly. I recommend the eggs Benny and chicken and waffles. The atmosphere is pretty and quiet enough that you can hear everyone at your table!

Just finished an amazing evening here.Lovely room. Not too loud. Small but excellent menu. Every dish was delish.Asking a lot for one server and runner to cover than many tops, but service was good considering.Love the wine list with the descriptives..Sadly they were out of our first and second choices (?). Third choice which was sugggested was very good.Cocktails and Mocktail were fantastic.Will definitely return.

First of all, I am so happy I got to try this place. My friend took me here for a birthday meal last night. It was fantastic! The service, the ambiance, and the food were amazing! We started with the margaritas, which were nice and refreshing. We had the dungeness crab arancini and foie Gras & duck liver pate for starters. Next, we paired a red with our Applewood smoked beef tenderloin and mushroom lasagna. Everything was great! We finished everything because it was amazing! In the end, we were too stuffed for dessert. However, in the end, we got a couple of truffles. I would say that this is a great place for fine dining. I highly recommend this place.

The dry aged sablefish was delicious and buttery. I normally dislike fish skin but it was so deliciously light and crispy! The service is impeccable with a great wine list. It’s a lovely place for a date or a special night out or just a great comfy dinner. Upscale cozy. Will be back again for sure.
