Good for lots of comfort food and a relaxed vibe.I really liked the mashed potatoes. The beef bourguignon had tasty little caramelized onions, carrots, and mushrooms. It's a big portion! I don't know if I would get it again because the beef was more grisly than I like (though some people like that) and it was too salty for me. That made me a little sad because I hoped this would be a go-to for a favourite dish but it's probably good for my budget that I don't love this meal too much since it isn't one of the cheaper items. I will try other dishes there since there are plenty of options. The Ceasar cocktail hit the spot for me with lots of horseradish and a good mix.The chocolate mousse is super delicious and nice. I wasn't sure if I had room after the size of the meal so I asked them for the to-go version and it wasn't a problem since they do delivery orders too.The staff was relaxed and nice. I liked the big bar area too and the many booth-ey areas for semi-cozy hang outs.

Food came before the drinks. Service was a bit slow.

We were the first group to arrive, and I inquired with the waiter about food options that would align with my dietary restrictions. Unfortunately, she was impatient and did not allow me to fully articulate my preferences. The menu items were expensive, with a focus on bread-based dishes, and in my opinion, both the service and the quality of food were disappointing.

Over priced at $22 for a sandwich and the mushroom soup was watered down. A bit disappointing given all the good reviews. Mac and Cheese was good.

Arrived before the lunch rush, placed our order, and it took 20 minutes to get our drinks and water. Food was severely underwhelming. The $22 chicken sandwich was so overpriced. Ciabatta burnt like a crouton and very little chicken. Choice of side, a kale Caesar, yuck. I would have sent it back but the server was nowhere to be found.Friend ordered the Cuban sandwich and a side of soup (didn't know that was an option) and he liked it. But service was abysmal. Will never go back.

This place is comfort for the soul. Everyone I've met on the staff has been so chill, particulary when i have come in from hospital related events. The vibe is great and welcoming.Pricing portions and food quality are all fair.Had a lovely pre-op dinner last night and returned for (take out) valentines date night in recovery. Thanks for keeping it right.

Burgeoning food is always a treat, the service was excellent , the location on Burrard lacks any charm.

Grumble. I really, really want to be able to give Burgoo four or five stars, but I can't until their chefs learn to be grownups about primary flavours. I'll explain: today it occurred to me as I was about to walk past that I couldn't remember why it had been a few years since I ate at Burgoo, so I stopped in for lunch. Ordered the dijon chicken (side of biscuits) to eat there on site, as well as a jambalaya to take home to my husband. The biscuits were good, and came with herbed butter just the right texture for easy spreading (but didn't Burgoo used to have amazing cheese-chive biscuits? I think they did...). The dijon chicken was beautifully plated, and had all the makings of a real winner: a good amount of high-quality chicken, good mushrooms and properly-not-overcooked peas and turnips (maybe rutabagas?), and plenty of dijon sauce, with a nice puff-pastry crown on the side. Sort of deconstructed chicken pot pie. But it was massively oversalted. It was just way, way too salty, far beyond the bounds of personal taste for a bit more or a bit less salt. It was difficult to taste flavours other than SALLLTTTTT!!!!!! That turned what had sounded and looked quite appealing into a disappointment. Got the chocolate-banana bread pudding for dessert. Desserts are usually meant to be sweet, and again, there'll always be variance in personal preferences, but this was massively too sweet. Far too much sugar. It was difficult to discern any flavour other than SWEEEEEEET!!!!!. Back home, hubz--who had been looking forward to the jambalaya, and unprompted by me, had the same reaction as I did to the chicken: OMG WAY TOO MUCH SALT. Somebody please remind the chefs they aren't cooking for toddlers with undeveloped palates. Adults don't need (or want) to be whacked over the head with SALTY or SWEET; it's a damn shame to vandalise dishes by drowning out the flavour of high-quality ingredients like this. (Oh yeah...that's why I hadn't been in awhile!)

I had French onion soup, La Mercigi (?) sandwich, and meat burgundy, and it was mostly salty (for Koreans only)... Still, the hospitality of the staff was really good, and the atmosphere could be a bit noisy.Anyway, I enjoyed it (and it was simple!!!) and it was great!Vegetarian options: Look closely at the description section!Dietary restrictions: Look closely at the description section!Kid-friendliness: Avoid accompanying infants.Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessibility 5 out of 10
