The staff were fun, warming, and genuinely did brighten my day. The food was lovely and fresh and filling and a great price and I felt very comfortable while I waited for my sandwich. If you’re in the area and you fancy a coffee or a nice sandwich or something sweet- you should go by!

My breakfast sandwich was phenomenal, my coffee was perfect, and the cookies I left with were the best I've had in a long time. I'm still in shock about the price, this is probably one of the most affordable places in Vancouver at the moment. And the staff... So nice, so kind, I really can't say enough nice things. This may have been my first trip to CafeTica but it will be far from my last. Do yourself a favor and treat yourself to this experience, you'll be grateful you did.

I really enjoyed the food! It was super affordable and the staff is extremely kind. Getting a good sandwich, with chips and a soup for $12 is unheard of these days so I highly recommend an affordable lunch in the area!

So when I travel, I have simple goals. Find the farmers markets, dive bars, enjoy soups and maybe play pinball. With Vancouver, it is to have seafood with every meal. Cafe Tica did not disappoint. I forget if it was the sandwich of the day or not but I ended up with an egg sandwich and salmon on ciabatta bread. I also had a cup of the chicken noodle soup. Very tasty and it was served quickly. Observing how everything is getting built up in this area, I hope this place sticks around a few more years. If you haven't been, you should go.
