Staff member was incredibly hostile for no understandable reason.I was in line with two of my friends in the late afternoon on St. Pat's - we were out for food and some Guinness, and the front-of-house took my name and phone number and said it would be about an hour. We went for a wander, and no calls had come in so we came back an hour later to see where we were on the list. I saw that my name had been crossed off, and I said, "but we didn't get a call". He told us how he had shouted out my name over and over. I reiterated that he hadn't called, and he said that he had called, he went behind the bar and used the phone to call. I went to show him my phone, and then he started yelling at me, telling me "don't you tell me what I've done", and I couldn't get a full sentence out, he started moving towards me so that I would back up until I was out of the door, repeating over and over in a hostile manner "don't you tell me what I've done" - I couldn't understand what was happening and why this situation went straight to 11. I did show him my phone, and he pointed to my husband's number when he called me two days before (I guess they share a name), and said, "see, that's me" - I said it was my husband (thinking in my head, didn't you say you called from the bar phone), and then he started in again with the aggression and the "don't you tell me what I've done" - so I asked, well, can we get put back on the list, and he then smirked and said "no, you're out".We used to come here all the time for my uncle's BD, where we would have a couple of tables full of people, or to get a quick bite before a movie. Never again. I worked in the service industry for year, and I know how stressful certain days can be, but he wasn't acting in a stressed out way - he was behaving with the hyped-up aggression of someone who would have been escorted from the pub for our safety at 1am.Never returning here again.

Shockingly bad service! Wow! Two friends and I came for St Pats, and were told it’d be an hour’s wait - no problem, we know it’s a busy day. They said they’d phone us - fantastic! Just under an hour later, we returned expecting our time might be coming up. When we checked in to see if we were nearing the top of the list, the host was immediately hostile and said we weren’t here when our name had come up, and therefore weren’t allowed in. Not moved to the end of the list - but actually not allowed in! My friend said we’d been told we’d get a call and he insisted he’d called. Confused and taken aback, my friend calmly showed her phone to provide evidence that we did not receive a call, but he didn’t care and doubled down on the rudeness, claiming we were lying! It was really weird and very upsetting. I’ve enjoyed previous visits but that was a few years ago - I guess they’ve hired new staff who are unable to handle stress.Luckily it was a very short drive to the Wicklow Pub which has friendly staff, amazing food, and a great view and was all in all fantastic. Highly recommend! Avoid the rudeness and go to Wicklow Pub instead!!

I love this place!Carlos O Brayan Neighborhood pub It's a fantastic spot for quick lunch while you’re on Westside… food was very tasteful and my personal recommendation is chocolate ice cream cake which is huge?Patio is open so cold beer and chill on Burrard is always ??Overall I’m satisfied customer and can’t wait to come back again!

Great place for your birthday. They got a new chef last year and the food has improved immensely! The staff were very friendly and warm and I'd gladly go back again. Excellent pub atmosphere and selection of drinks.
We had lunch here yesterday before the Super Bowl and the food was excellent. They modified my meal to be low carb and it was delicious. Our server Jordan was friendly and checked back with us frequently.
