The squash was undercooked and hard. The veggie option was pretty bland overall. The ordering format is awkward. The tortilla filling is presented on top of all the tortillas so you have to take it apart and reconstruct it. The portions are small for the price.Vegetarian options: Has vegetarian option.Dietary restrictions: Has vegan option.

Had a quarter pound of the mixed pork (shoulder and belly) tacos with a side of guacamole. Superb. Everything was delicious. The place was, as the description reads, “unfussy”. Quite cool, really. I’ll definitely be back.

I would like to give a 2.5 stars. The drinks were good, but the vegetarian tacos were pretty horrible - mostly onions and super expensive for a pound of onions and potatoes ($55 for the 3/4 people plate). I also had a bad stomach ache afterwards.Atmosphere, staff and drinks were good, but I wouldn’t suggest eating here - especially if you are vegetarian.

The staff is friendly and attentive, always willing to make recommendations and ensure you have an exceptional experience. The prices are reasonable and the portion is generous. In short, Chancho Tortilleria is a wonderful place to enjoy good Mexican food in a cozy atmosphere. Highly recommended!
Fun spot to grab some beers and tacos. The pork was phenomenal, but potato filling seemed sparse. Flavours were great though. Just didn't feel like it was $15 worth.

Extremely well curated menu! There are a small number of dishes, but each has been perfected. The salsas are different enough to stand apart, but work really well as a trio, as well. Some of the seating is unpadded benches, so something to be aware of if you are a weenie like me.

Good food, wild prices. With a cafeteria vibe and no table service, you get table service prices and the expectation of a table service tip. Tacos and 2 drinks each was $130 for two people. The beach seats are Uncomfortably high. I'm 5'10" and my feet were dangling. The chairs are normal height, resulting in me towering over my companion, due to the height difference between our seats.

We did walk in and had brunch here this morning. No lineup. We scanned a QR code at the front of the restaurant. In the end, the server introduced what we should be ordering. We thanked him for his recommendations. It was our first time here and didn’t know what’s good.We ordered veggie and pork tacos as well as Chilaquiles con Huevos. All of the dishes were great. We usually eat Mexican food in US but rarely in Canada. The service was great. The server was very caring and attentive. We didn’t ask for extra plates but he noticed we were sharing food, so he brought us extra an additional plate and fork. The ambiance and background music perfectly matched the Mexican cuisine. We enjoyed the brunch here. The interior design was on par with we expected to see on Commercial Drive. Also, the washroom was clean.I would recommend friends and family could come here for brunch, lunch, dinner, and happy hours.Vegetarian options: They have vegetarian options. They also serve pork but no beef
