We visited the Chinatown BBQ restaurant during our trip to Vancouver and my oh my!! The food was delicious! We got the 2 meat combo with rice and the fried rice. The roasted pork could very well be one of the tastiest I’ve ever consumed! A must visit when you are in Vancouver.

The quality of the rice is poor! The service fee of 16% is too high! It feels bad to be forced to pay.

Located in the heart of Chinatown, Chinatown BBQ has caught my eyes as they mentioned the traditional ways of making the Cantonese BBQ. Very unique setting, back you back in time to old Hong Kong. The price for two choices are $16.5 with soup at $5. I assume they have different soups everyday. Today I had a dried back choy with pork bone soup as well as BBQ Pork and BBQ Duck Rice. The soup was salty until I had a taste of the BBQ Pork and Duck. Overly roasted for the pork, some sides were burnt and bitter, meat also has a lot of fat which caught me off guard. The duck was also very salty, skin was slightly crispy, and some of the meat was dry tho. Rice was nicely moist, but in large volume compared to the meat they gave. I was surprised to see not even some sort of vegetable on the plate, usually other restaurants would come with if not two pieces at least one piece of bak choy or any type of vegetable really. For the price and taste, I would say I had it better elsewhere and it is not worth my trip just to Chinatown for this.

What can I say that doesn’t seem copied from the other reviewers? Oh, I know! The waitress inside the restaurant warned us that they are very quick and not at all forgiving with handing out parking tickets at the parking spots on the street. Even if you are picking up, keep an eye on your vehicle or give them the 5$/hr parking fee they charge…Otherwise, the BBQ Duck and BBQ Pork was sublime. My daughter Kaitlin had the BBQ Duck on a bed of rice and the duck was pleasantly juicy which was very much appreciated whereas I had the Curry Beef Brisket and the nice sized serving bowl was filled with big beef cubes right up to the rim with out-of-this-world curry sauce.Nasss!

What’s can I say? This place is incredible, food was excellent. Service was on point, they didn’t have happy hour beer of choice so he easily subbed it no problem.Bobby explained the menu perfectly, attentive, brought us to go boxes without having to ask. 10/10 service better than any restaurant I’ve been to in the last 2 years.

A great place to eat if you like bbq pork or duck with ginger green onion sauce. There are many good dishes on the menu, but bbq meats is my favorite ? ?. Very polite staff.

My wife and I have come here twice on two separate trips and we were 110% satisfied both times!I would personally recommend the bbq pork and crispy roast pork combo plate, with the crispy pork being a particular highlight of mine. The gai lan makes for an excellent side to split, but may be a bit much for just one person. Everything is reasonably priced so you're guaranteed to get good value!

Dropped into this restaurant cause my son was craving roast pork after our trip to Whistler. It was doing a brisk takeout business so it must be good. The roast duck was tasty but tough. The roast pork was good but a bit too fatty. The bbq pork was the best of the three. Overall ok, but honestly the bbq place in Michigan is better. The owner / manager was very friendly! The Sunk Cost Wait Scale; How long would I be willing to wait to eat here? <15min
