Ice cream and coffee place along Commercial. Finally had a chance to try, after seeing hordes in front in the evenings. Parking is available on the side streets. The inside is new and modern. There isn't too much seating area, so it's best to grab takeout. My other complaint is that the business faces W but there are no blinds in the windows, so one can get quite a bit of sunshine to the face. Staff are friendly. Service with a smile. The ice cream here is definitely tasty and of the hipster feel-good variety. I suspect the owner is Asian, as there are some distinctly Asian ice cream flavours such as HK milk tea, Vietnamese coffee, and mango coconut sticky rice. They do single scoops (cup or cone, no extra charge), double, triple, and even flights of 4. The flavour selection is quite limited, but this is not a problem. They make some seriously good stuff here. I also had their coffee. Pretty decent. Definitely wouldn't mind coming back. Recommended.

Tried this place after much hype online and it definitely felt like it left more to be desired. Had a scoop of the Mango Coconut Sticky Rice and the Matcha Honeycomb Nugget and both felt super underwhelming for the price, size of the scoop, and flavour. $6 for a single scoop that was the size of a tiny baby fist compared to Earnest which has a waay larger scoop at $5.25. Granted the flavours are fun and unique for icecream, but they're kind of flavours you can find everywhere in Vancouver nowadays and the Mango was good at first bite but left a sickly coating in my throat afterwards. The Matcha was okay, but nothing special compared to other icecream shops. Service was fine, but there was a 20-25 minute wait on a Sunday at 1PM and you're waiting outside. No sampling either, but I guess that makes sense if the wait times are long. 2/5

First time I tried their ice cream was at the farmers market. It was delicious then and the owners were so nice. I finally got to try their ice cream again at this brick and mortar place on Commercial Drive. I had the Pandan Kaya Toast and it was so good! Very strong pandan flavor and the Kaya Toast was a nice caramel flavour and all on a very fresh waffle cone. I'm so blown away by how much they've improved and it was already so good from the start! I will definitely come back to try their other unique flavours like Strawberry Elderflower.

Highly recommend to try especially if you love mango!Thai milk tea - very good but Thai milk tea flavour could stronger as welll compared to the actual Thai milk tea!Still recommend to try any of these flavours as they were still very enjoyable! Would definitely go back to try their other flavours!

Flavour options were fine. The thing they have going for them is that they are unique and Asian inspired. Really lovely presentation of the brown sugar boba float. Not great:Portion sizes. I don’t need a big ice cream cone, but these seemed small. No samples. Other ice cream shops make the economics work; not sure why they can’t. Seems like such an easy thing to stay competitive and get people interested and engaged in their flavours. This was weird: you have to know your order down to the flavours before they start scooping. Normally at an ice cream shop, they scoop then you pay. Or you just say how many scoops etc you need, pay, then you tell the scooper what flavour you’d like. The process was confusing at Elephant Garden Creamery. It didn’t help that the server also was not friendly or helpful at orienting us at what was expected so it made for a very awkward experience. The whole thing felt overly penny pinching and miserly. So if you want to try unique flavours, go here but choose wisely - you can’t sample anything! If you’re looking for a friendly, welcome ice cream experience, this isn’t it.

I rarely give low stars but no taste tests are an absolute no for me. We got a pint of red velvet and raspberries which was described very well and recommended. It’s below average as a flavour and definitely not what we would have ordered if we could have tasted it first. I’ll be taking my business back to Earnest where I can try the different flavours. Charge 25 cents a taste test or limit them. No taste tests can’t possibly be the right solution.

Nice atmosphere and tasty ice cream. I recommend the Vietnamese coffee and London Fog flavours! The ice cream flight is a cool way to try and share a bunch of flavours.

The thing I didn't like was that THEY DON'T GIVE SAMPLES, so the risk of a win or a loss is there, mostly if you order just one flavour. It's a gamble. I didn't want to take the risk and went for the flight of 4 flavours. I got a flavour that I didn't like so I didn't finish -luckily I had 3 more that were ok, but I only loved 1 of them.Flavour-wise, there are other cozy, cute and delicious places that I prefer in the same area over this one, so I don't think I'll come again.

Great flavors. Very unique. No samples but great descriptions and the worker showed us the ice cream visually. She was trained very well. I only gave a 4 for atmosphere because I was expecting to see more elephants. We got a flight.
