It was a very bad experience for me this morning. I was having breakfast this morning around 9:30 am in the restaurant. I ordered a chicken steak with 2 eggs instead of ham and egg through the server, Michelle. It was the original 1 egg, ham, and chicken steak when it first came. So, I have asked another server to change it to my order. When Michelle brought another breakfast back, she dumped the plate on the table without saying anything. Guess what? it is only 1 egg with the chicken steak. I was so angry. How could a server have that kind of manner in serving the customer? It makes feeling upset for a whole day.

Good tasty HK cafe food that came out really quick.Upon paying, we all split our bills. My friend had just enough cash to pay for his meal with a little bit of tip but the rest of us were going to compensate his tip portion with our payments.The server Tracy had the entitled audacity to hand the bill tray back to him and demand a 10% tip. Maybe take that name-tag off your uniform before you want to say something slimy.

....well the beef stew was not gunna be ready for dinner tonight so I told the kids we were going out for dinner......I have been to Happy Day on kingsway before but usually during the day......I liked their HK style cafe food and lunch sets that are available....these items are available until 5pm....after that it is the dinner menu......we got there at 6pm...there were a few customers but no way near full....by the time we had finished only half the restaurant was full.......we ordered 3 dishes and 2 drinks...portions were large and it was reflected in the price...but we are in an inflation period......the minced beef and the shredded pork mien was done well and tasted good.......the baked seafood spaghetti was a bit underdone.......we couldn't finish all the food so the kids have lunch for school tomorrow........one kid had the lychee cooler ...I tried it and liked it......I had the lemon tea which was ok......I would have given a higher rating but the wait staff did not refill my tea during the meal despite me putting the tea cup near the edge of the table where they could see it was empty.......otherwise the kids enjoyed the meal!.......you can bring your family, lunch with a friend, get to know someone new and a good kids date spot....

had spaghetti and shredded chicken + mushroom. was just okay would not get again. Bland.Also their system was down after I paid with debit and they asked to see my bank account statement to see if the transaction went through. I knew at this point we should just have left but I wanted to leave with no hassle and though it was pretty low risk so I showed the one statement transaction in my bank app (covering info) but it was even moreannoying that the waitress went to take a picture of it without even asking me if its okay and showed someone in the back. Then she showed me she deleted it but at this point you're already inconveniencing the customer who is doing something out of niceness, please yank your manager out to come out personally.Oh also after they were able to get us a receipt so I don't understand this whole ordeal.Was it worth ensuring your one profit was paid for and handling it so terribly such that the customer never comes back?

We enjoyed a good family meal with soup noodle bowls and some shared fried noodles dishes. The fried noodle dishes were a generous portion size and tasty.There were several add-on snacks with the soup noodle bowls but they didn’t show their prices on the order forms. Some of them ended up costing way more than expected. Make sure to ask for prices for these small add-on dishes so you aren’t surprised when the bill arrives.Otherwise we enjoyed our meal in a clean, modern dining room.

Ordered the Chinese donut on Uber .. $8 for a single piece? I've made these myself and they cost about $0.25 less. Also most restaurants cost around $4-5.. not double.Secondly the congee was missing a lot of ingredients, was mostly the rice gruel part. Quite disappointing for a large restaurant that I have frequently visited.When I called, they simply said "I don't know the Uber price. And whatever you order is correct"... Wow much service. Total cost for 3 items was $75 + $8 Chinese donuts. Not including the Uber fees.

We went to this Cafe twice during our recent visit to Burnaby, breakfast the first time and another time lunch. We liked the congee+rice roll breakfast combo a lot. It is really a good deal at that price. For lunch, we ordered a curry beef brisket with rice and baked thick cut pork chop in creamy tomato sauce with rice. The latter tasted excellent but the curry was a bit disappointing. There was a bit of source taste to the curry sauce, may be the cook did not wash the wok after cooking a sweet and sour dish. Overall I would rate this Cafe a 3.5 Stars out of a maximum of 5
