After trying the shashuka from Harvest Deli and loving it, I had to try it when I visited Israel, Jordan, and Morocco. I searched diligently for this dish and, after trying dozens of versions in the Middle East, I have concluded that Harvest Deli has the best shashuka in the world! That's right, this dell in Vancouver, Canada, of all places, has the best shashuka in the world! The chili and many other sandwiches are also excellent. Most recently, Harvest had a duck confit special. It was the best that I ever had, better than those at fancy restaurants. The Moroccan chickpea soup was also brought back temporarily. We had this soup regularly when we first came to Harvest over a decade ago. It was delicious and brought back good memories. My wife and I come here every week because we cannot resist the excellent food.
I'm fortunate to have Harvest Deli in my neighborhood. Good selection of sandwiches, amazing homemade soups and I love their smoothies (fresh squeezed orange juice). Lots of vegetarian options. The owner and staff are lovely. Definitely worth the visit!

They made the most delicious vegan sandwich for me, with a few options to choose from. The BREAD itself was incredibly delicious. Really satisfying sandwich. So delicious. Friendly + quick service but the atmosphere was relaxed. Really nice experience.

Roast beef sandwich was nice, but quite overpriced for what it is. The pickle it was served with was very limp. Overall, not worth $17.85, and definitely not worth carrying a debit card around (they don't accept credit cards).

30min wait for a sandwich as they were prioritising a wedding order on Sunday at 1pm. Agree with other reviews, owner is rude.

My friend just spent 20 dollars on a small dry flavorless turkey sandwich. I had a bite and it was awful
Nice choice of good sandwiches, including a good selection of vegetarian options. Fun old French pop songs were playing in the restaurant when I had lunch. Yep, lunch at this place, and most others in Vancouver is around $17 now.

Harvest Deli is a gem. A traditional New York style deli that does sandwiches and soup, really, really well. The ingredients are always fresh, there's a wide variety of options available and the end result is delicious. I've never had a bad experience at Harvest Deli and I've been going for years.
