OMG the best sushi I have had, I highly recommend the Tuna Oshi I have never had it before and it's my new favorite! The service was great. Great selection and super yummy! It's definitely a must try!!!Vegetarian options: They have a decent selection of vegetarian items.Dietary restrictions: All gf or vegetarian options are clearly marked on the menu and they have gf soy sauce too!Wheelchair accessibility: It's right on 4th and there is space to fit a wheelchair as well have tables with removable chairs to accommodate.

Have lived in Kits for ten years and tried most places now - Hi Nippon is definitely my favorite! The food quality is consistently delicious and service is always so friendly and fast. They also don't use Cali mix in their dynamite roles which is rare these days and such a treat. Can't recommend them enough!

The tv always playing in the corner is a little disruptive for the vibe - otherwise, no complaints!

Very warm place with japanese tables. Food was tasty and you can find classic japanese alcoholic drinks. They serve hot green tee which was really nice. Prices are average, but compared to other sushi places, this place feels more like a restaurant and quality with same price.

Amazing food, love the ambiance as well had to take off our shoes to get into the booth. Sashimi melted in your mouth. Service could not have been quicker and kinder.

Rats.Sushi isn't good. Service is really bad. Food quality is substandard. But the rodents are the icing on the fishy smelling sashimi cake.

Quite salty curry and tonkatsu (sp) but a lot of food and lots of tea, generally nicely cooked.Kid-friendliness: Possible to enter without stairs, though they could’ve been nicer about the pram.

I have been here three times for lunches. Unfortunately I feel like the number of stars on Review by others seems over rated. If you order like Tonkatsu, tempura or Udon, the meat quality of Tonkasu is not good, smelly(not seasoned well)dry, and the bread crumbs does not stay with the meat. It is the worst Tonkasu I have ever tried. Even curry I tried with the Tonkasu was very salty and it does not go with the tonkatsu. The Tempura was oily, and the Udon is okay, not impressive. One thing I like about my visit at this restaurant is cleanness but not the foods.

Friendly service, good fish for the price. Kids enjoyed the udon. I had the premium Chirashi don.

Found Hi-Nippon while visiting Kitsilano neighborhood in Vancouver. My husband loved the sushi and I was a huge fan of the salmon teriyaki. Would definitely recommend if in the area!
