Exceptional food and service here. Hidden gem in East Vancouver.Owner and staff are always very nice and willing to serve. They also have speciality dishes like crab meat spring roll which really stands out from other places.A restaurant that worth the wait and drive to here!

Hoa Phuong Do is hands down the best Northern Viet food restaurant in town. Chicken pho spot on. Bonus the owner is very friendly.

??Crab noodle soup: the soup had a strong crab smell and full of umami flavor, it was light compared to the msg soup at BCHY, which is a big plus. The crab cakes were quite different from what I thought they would be. They were more on the dry and chewy side, the taste was good but I was not sure if I tasted any crab. The minced meat wrapped in betel leaves were nice but nothing special. What surprised me was the sliced onions since I don’t eat raw onions. I reboiled the soup and poured over them, and they turned out just rightly cooked and gave a lot of flavor to the soup. The noodle had a p interesting texture as well, but although they tasted chewy, they would easily broke down into pieces after absorbing the soup and lost that preferable texture, so maybe I should eat faster. ?Duck salad: didn’t know it would be shredded duck meat as I saw on the picture it was a whole duck leg. I personally didn’t quite enjoyed this dish because I thought it lacked some flavors, the fish sauce wasn’t strong enough so I really wanted some chili oil and seafood sauce on their tabletop lol

Niche little restaurant, very intimate inside, you can hear other people's conversation. Food was amazing. Ate the house special and the broth was tasty. I really enjoyed their special Crab cake spring roll and their pork belly dish, very different cuisine than the rest. The North of Vietnam is where their specialty comes from.

I came here on my birthday with family. The staff and owner were very very friendly. They definitely understand babies and toddlers and instantly accommodate with high chairs and extra napkins. This place is known for their Northern Vietnamese cuisine. Very authentic. Their dishes are incredible. So colourful. So aromatic. So fresh. Very very yummy and did not disappoint. The pictures don’t do any justice. It’s so much more vibrant and aromatic in person. The quality and attention is above and beyond. I love this place!

This place is different than the usual Vietnamese restaurants I normally go to. I enjoyed their dishes except for the beef jerky salad because I found the beef jerky to be too tough and a bit salty. I think it would be a great side dish if you were having alcoholic drinks!

Ordered beef and flank soup noodle for takeaway but when I got home it turns out to be pork slices and a bunch of tendon that u can’t eat at all.
