The oysters were small and did not taste fresh. The spreads were nice and the lamb meatballs decent. Calamari came cold and flavour/texture was also disappointing. Service was okay but very in your face / someone new asking us how things were every 5 mins. Cocktails were way too sweet and the vibe and food experience entirely was not worth the trip or the price. More of a corporate business vibe which is fine if that's what you are going for. Would not recommend to anyone - there are way better restaurants in Vancouver.

Upscale Mediterranean restaurant in Vancouver. Excellent staff and wine list. Walked in with no reservation (although one is recommended) and sat at the bar. Food arrived in a timely fashion was presented well and tasted great! Will definitely be back for dinner

I had an unpleasant experience at this restaurant on April 2 for lunch. The server was unwelcome and rude. Hydra had put a big sign outside on Howe Street. They had a promotion daily lunch special for $12. However, when I asked the server what’s the lunch special, right away he gave an unprofessional reply “burger”. It was lack of hospitality already. And I asked him is there any side dish comes together. The server response very rude saying: “the burger is only $12 and doesn’t come with anything!” This is an awful attitude in a hotel restaurant!! I feel so I unrespected and unwelcome. Well, is a $12 daily lunch special is too cheap? We left in less than an hour at 12:53pm from table 23. Don’t want to stay longer. The bill was printed by manager Chris B, Clerk #001616.

Outstanding food! So delicious and flavorful. Service was excellent. Beautiful restaurant, however we found it overly noisy with the loud music and general ambient noise
