The food is really good than the other places in downtown. Nice ambience. We ordered Gobi Manchurian and veg and non veg thalis. Everything was good, service was exceptional.Only thing that was making me off was some smell, I guess it’s from cleaning agent. But overall it was pleasant experience. Thank you, Kinara

Love their appetizers, especially onion rings and pakoras. Samosa and gulab jamun are mediocre. My main issue is always the curry (tried Kadhai, Shahi etc) which is way too sweet for some reason so a big let down.

Decent price. Good food and friendly service. I’m not sure if they have different spicy levels for curries (they didn’t ask for our preference when we ordered) but the default spicy level that we got wasn’t that hot.

All-time favorite, amazing curries, excellent fluffy rice, great naans, and good service. Hard-core fun of their vfm for Vancouver. For me Indian food rarely gets better than Kinara.

My partner ordered the butter chicken wrap and it was nothing like the description on the menu. It contains so much bell peppers and onions (it did not even say that it includes these) that it doesn’t even taste like butter chicken. Also, it is wrapped in aluminum foil that makes the naan soggy. We both tried to eat it but neither of us could handle it as it did not taste good and the texture was soggy and mushy. The only good thing about this dish was that the french fries were nice and crispy. We both ended up sharing my lamb rogan josh as that at least tasted good.

The Curry here is hands down the best creamy curry I have tasted in downtown. It's almost like another type of Curry. It's refreshing, yet creamy and it's addictive. I was not expecting Curry can taste like this, and it's good!

Highly recommend this place. Food is very good. I ate tandoori chicken served very hot. Try atleastvone tandoori dish. Location is okay as the area itself is not that very good, but the ambience is very good. Only reason for 4 stars is due to

Good quality Indian food for the price. Quantity of actual 'filling' was low compared to curry amount. Naan was overpriced for the size. Would probably go again for takeout. Tandoori lacked depth of flavour though. Rogan Josh lamb was good enough. Butter chicken was 'white people' good. The paneer on the other hand was a hit. Could use more paneer-curry ratio though. Again, 3 dishes, $60... For Indian food.

Very very average food. In a city with such good Indian food this was a disappointment. Until I visited Kinara I had assumed that all Indian restaurants in Vancouver would be really good. The daal makhni was watery and lacked the richness that the makkhan should bring. The kadai paneer felt cooked in tomato ketchup rather than the kadai masala. We also tried the sizzler which also was far from how they're meant to be.The staff was really sweet and it makes me feel bad for writing a harsh review. They seemed like they really cared about doing well.
