I've been hearing this mom & pop hole in the wall pasta place for a while now. Tons of my friends have recommended me to drop by here a long time ago, like even before 2015 LOL!! I just haven't had the chance nor did I ever have it top of mind to drop by this place. And to be honest, this is the better side of pasta I've had compared to MANY chain restaurants in this city. That is something to be said about the quality of pasta in Vancouver..... Oh and another point IT IS CASH ONLY! So bring some money with you!!My friend and I came here to meet up and I suggested this place since he was wanting something pasta for the night. We arrived and we saw the daily specials, as usual that always gets my eyes. We just ordered the daily specials which were the Penne with Tomato Spicy Sausage, and the Wild Mushroom Truffle Carbonara. They both came out hot plate delicious. Each one has a different flavour to it and it was the perfect mix honestly. And on top of that, the wild mushroom one was my favourite as it has a very distinct aroma to it. I enjoyed the penne pasta a lot as the spicy sausages were plentiful in the plate. The food is not bad decent as the hole in the wall pasta was delicious. And on top of that love old kitchen wooden chairs they have for each table, as it reminds me I was in my own grandma's kitchen. For sure will be coming back for more pasta with friends!

I found the food selection to be quite pleasing, and each dish had its own unique flavor profile. The service was warm and welcoming, and the cozy ambiance added an extra layer of comfort that might just draw me back for another visit.

Owner should close down the shop. Something is holding them back. Some people like dismal service and attitude. If that's you, this place is for you.

I know this place has been said that this is a hidden gem. Food is decent. But I mean what’s with the service attitude from the owner lady. Yes I don’t know if you had a good day or not or if anyone gave you trouble. I understand that you are busy with only yourself on the floor. But come on, there isn’t one single greeting from seated till I paid at the end. Not a single smile or asking what we want. A full black face in front of the whole table of 4. What worst, she greets and talk to her 2 Japanese customer table. It is okay if you don’t want to service people other than local westerners Japanese. But you don’t deserves the 12 percent gratuity tips that we paid. We pay for the food and not the whole non friendly experience. Tips are only for customers saying thank you to you and your hard work. But you did not show that you deserves them.

I have been coming here since Kinemi's Kitchen opened. As a long time customer, I highly recommend them. The owners are nice and the food is absolutely incredible!

Very solid Italian food for a reasonable price. Run by a small number of staff, so service is a bit slower, but still very friendly. Would recommend the chicken parmesan. Be careful as this place is cash only.

Hidden gem in Vancouver
Pretty good pasta in good portion sizes.
Great staff. The restaurant is clean and food is great. One of few Japanese/Korean places on Boundary road.
