Had the ramen of my dreams here.Stopped by on a Wednesday night and grabbed a seat at the bar.It was a small place, only 5 tables and they will only seat you once every one arrives. There was a line most of the time I was dining.I had the spicy garlic ramen and it had such great flavour, spicy in a flavorful but not overpowering way. Noodles were soft and tender with great chews.Staff wasn’t overly friendly, but you don’t go there for the staff.Would definitely recommend and would be worth waiting in line for.

This is a store I have been going to since I was in high school. Is it the trend of the times? Even though it was lean char siu, it wasn't this good, but it was too dry and the bean sprouts changed the taste of the soup. Now is the time to let go. 5 stars is a farewell to an old friend.

I wish I could give them five stars, I've eaten here so many times, the staff is great and I think the ramen is delicious, I just wish there was a little more investment into the space itself. It often feels outdated and a bit dirty.

I had high hopes for Kitaro Ramen, and I was going to score 3 stars for the food but hear me out. While the food seemed authentic, it lacked seasoning, and the cleanliness of the place is very questionable, the plastic water cups are yellowish. The service was okay, but while I was eating, a tiny cockroach-looking insect came out from a crack on the bar, which really put me off. Couldn't finish the meal and got out as soon as I could. Unless they do deep cleaning at the store , it's a no-go for me.

Originally, I gave the place five stars but have to say that this once outstanding place has fallen on hard times. Our last visit was not very good.Previous EntryI come here for just one ramen, the cheese ramen. The dish is unique in Vancouver. I like the fact that there are many customizable features like the fattiness of pork, richness of broth and the fact that you can get kelp as opposed to the processed seaweed of most ramen shops.

Best comfort food, especially on a cold rainy day.Highly recommend the Cheese Ramen. The broth is creamy, smooth and balanced. It’s very unique, and you can’t find anything like this anywhere else. Definitely worth a try!Quality has remained consistent over the years. Will always return here when I get cravings for good ramen. Great portion size compared to other ramen places too. You can choose to add extra noodles for $1.75, but you’d hardly need it unless you’ve been starving for the entire day.
It’s ok. Ramen was missing flavour. Charged me extra for a paper bag (I tipped good too). Good portion though!

Not impressed. Got the Spicy Garlic ramen. The broth was bland and not well seasoned. Not spicy at all. Had it on my list for some time; just removed it. Many other great options nearby. Should've gone to Marutama.

I don't understand why the rating is this high... . The spicy garlic noodle was really bad.. The miso ramen was edible, but… This rating is really not up to par.. The clerk was very friendly☺️☺️

This is my favourite restaurant in the world. Nostalgia? Maybe. Homesickness? Probably. But still some of the best memories I’ve had in my travels.
