It is overpriced. There are lots of better Japanese restaurants with better prices.

Kishimoto...If there was a tier list for Sushi and general Japanese food—The tier would look something like:Low tier:T&T Sushi, Gas Station Sushi, etc...Average tier:Most Sushi Restaurants...High Tier:Select Sushi restaurants.God/Heaven Tier:Kishimoto!Kishimoto is the hands down BEST Sushi and general Japanese cuisine restaurants in the western world, and I am literally not exaggerating when I say this. While prices are on the higher end, when you come to this Sushi Heaven, you will just accept this is a self treating day, and will find it difficult to resisit ordering more food than you can humanly eat.I would sell my child if I had one to eat here daily.I cannot say enough good things about this place. But come here at your own risk!Once you eat at Kishimoto, all Sushi and Japanese food will forever be ruined for you. Because nothing will ever be as good.

Overall great experience. They do take reservations now so, do that or go early. Otherwise it'll take a while to get in.

Customer service was attentive and pleasant, yam roll was tasty, and the okonomoyaki decent (not quite as good as that I had in Osaka). Would definitely recommend!

I have been going to Kishimoto for as long as I can remember. I can no longer eat at other sushi places because kishimoto has set the standard so high for me. Their food is beautifully presented and the atmosphere is amazing but what really stands out is the quality of their food. It is always fresh and flavourful. I have been more times than I can count but I cannot recall one bad experience. The waiting times for your food are really fast as-well. I would recommend getting the salmon oshi as it is my favourite dish I have ever tasted and my many friends I have brought to kishimoto always are blown away by it.

Lovely food! Not too salty and well worth the trip. The duck soba was really good.

Great atmosphere and customer service. Not many seatings but the interior and the lighting felt cozy for a date night. We ordered couple of rolls, nigiri sushi, and salmon ishinabe as a group. The pricing on these were on the high end so we did have a higher expectation on the quality. The fish used for the rolls and the nigiri were fresh but nothing crazy to justify the price. The salmon ishinabe was good but felt the sauce they added at the end was bit overwhelming. Perhaps too buttery and sweet for my liking.Overall, they used fresh ingredient but definitely felt the price didn’t reflect the overall taste of these dishes we’ve ordered. The presentation of some of these dishes other people ordered were fancy so I have to assume those experiences were priced in.Feels like there are better alternatives for the quality but for the overall experiences + atmosphere, why not.

fantastic food but service could have been better. they were able to specially make an older menu item for us that was recommended by a friend (tuna tataki) but upon removing the plate the waitress snatched it so aggressively that all the remaining ponzu splashed onto the table and on me and my friend. we were both wearing black but some of it got onto my white jacket. the server did not apologize. all she said was “oh..” and went to get napkins. then said “i don’t think ponzu stains, but yeah i’m not used to holding this plate because we don’t have this item on the menu.” maybe next time don’t blame it on the plate and take some accountability for your mistake.

Excellent food, terrible service. Hosts were super rude and inattentive. Told my party who had been waiting for 45 minutes to leave for another 20 minutes even though they were actively cleaning a table for us. I felt like I had to beg them to even acknowledge me at the door. So instead of leaving we just sat in the doorway waiting area and they sat us 30 seconds later. You might consider providing some professional training for your hosts.
