I recently visited Mazemen Kerrisdale, craving their specialty mazesoba. The service was excellent, and we were seated immediately, which was a plus. However, I was disappointed with the mazesoba itself. The pork was tough and didn't seem fresh, and the noodles were excessively oily, making it difficult for me to finish my bowl. While I appreciated the prompt service, I can't recommend the mazesoba unless they improve the freshness of the pork and reduce the oiliness of the dish. Unfortunately, I won't be returning and will instead opt for Beest Mazemen in Downtown Vancouver, where the beef is incredibly fresh and tender and their noodles are tasty and not oily.

Tried soupless udon for the first time here, and it did not disapoint! The carbonara udon I had was very good. However, my friend found their signature udon with ground beef much too salty. The atmosphere is cute, but the space is small. Good value for money though! I'll b coming back.

Kokoro is definitely one of my favourite restaurant chains, serving up delicious umami mazesoba which is kind of like a dry noodle with a variety of toppings! The texture of the noodle is very similar to udon. It is a very heavy meal, definitely add the vinegar they have available! Even as someone who doesn't usually enjoy tart/vinegar flavour, I think it's an essential for this dish!I'm so happy they're still doing their free XXL noodle promotion, where you can get more noodles at no extra cost! I love ordering the Zenbu ($~20) which comes with lots of toppings. The Niku Mazesoba is a second favourite of mine. It's definitely enough for another meal to take home! At the end of your meal, you can ask for a complimentary small rice to mix with leftover sauce and toppings. Even if I pack to take home, I can't skip out on the rice! They also serve ramen but I wouldn't say I'd recommend it. But it is good to have other options! The Kerrisdale location is much smaller than their other branches, so if you are a party of 4+ you may expect to wait at busy times!

The food and the service are excellent. The staff are friendly and very helpful. The food is superb. We have not had a bad meal there once!Kid-friendliness: Kids will love this as the flavours in the ramen are very mild and the noodles are plentiful. Excellent for kids on a cold day.

The taste is good and the food is served quickly (14:30). Unfortunately, the soup ramen is only enough to fit between your teeth. For internal use, you can add noodles for free after the meal.

This is a very good restaurant to eat at! It is one of the cheapest, and the most delicious noodles restaurant I’ve ever been in!

It's become one of my favourite places for food lately. Soo delicious...and love the fact you get a free scoop of rice to soak up the sauce in your noodles. Love it! Greatly priced to and you go away feeling so satisfied. Yum!

Definitely love the chewy noodles and flavorful sauce. I didn't have high expectations for a chained Ramen shop but kokoro Ramen is much better than I expected. Only thing I would like to say that the service was super slow and the seats for everyone was small.Vegetarian options: Both Ramen and mazesoba have vegetarian options

Food is always good here but this location never asked if I wanted the bowl of rice at the end. Each location has a different vibe and this was the smallest one that I’ve tried so far.

As our favorite Mazesoba restaurant, it'll be our "go-to" if we're around a neighborhood that has one, and this one is in Kerrisdale!Everything is as consistently superb through every Kokoro Tokyo Mazesoba visit at any location - quality control is amazing. The only downside of this particular location is its size. The restaurant can sit ~ 25 and there's only 1 (maybe 2) big table that can fit 5+ so if you have a family of 5+, there's usually a wait and it's first come first serve.Tip: Niku Mazesoba has the most toppings (most meat!) at $16.50, which is cheaper than those with fewer toppings.
