My wife came here years ago and finally took me to this little treasure. From the outward appearance, I doubt I would have come here in my own. A small seating area with 3 small and 2 larger tables, but you can watch them hand make their well known soup dumpling and other pancake style dishes like green onion cakes in the corner. There was two ladies serving, with one definitely in charge. She recognized my wife who had been a regular here 15 years ago! Service was quick and efficient, she never wrote down anything but we got all the dishes we ordered VERY quickly. The dishes were all very good, although I found the tan-tan noodles a little salty for my tastes. Apparently there are many styles of this noodle dish and I was more used to one with a peanut sauce. The soup dumplings were as good as she remembered with there being plenty of tasty soup within each dumpling. So much so, that one must be careful biting into them to avoid the juice overflowing and running down your cheeks - a common experience that we encountered lol. One does not come here for a fine dining experience. One come for quick and efficient service and good food at a reasonable price. We will definitely be back!Sadly this cherished neighborhood gem was damaged by a fires next door and may not reopen. This will truly be a loss to the neighborhood and all the regulars that used to come here.

The service was fast and efficient and the 2 waitresses were very nice. However food portions were very small which prevented me from giving 5 stars. Also quite loud and cramped inside.Overall I had a satisfying experience here

Their chicken wonton soup is exactly like how mom would make it. The taste is as authentic as it gets. The service is also really great and the staff is really friendly.

We went for a quick lunch and really enjoyed the experience. The service was excellent - attentive and personable. We had soup dumplings - handmade on site and very good and the chicken chow mein and shrimp with egg sauce on rice. The food came out quickly and had a good 'home-cooked' flavour. We'll go back!

Flew in from CO. Best food we could ask for after our travels! Service was sweet and genuine. Overall a perfect experience!

You know a winner when there is a stream of regular patrons coming through the door and speaking to the servers on a first name basis. It’s a really small place with a simple menu, but they are great at what they make. I had the steamed dumplings, very juicy. I recommend the pan fried dumplings which were nicely crispy on the bottom. I liked how the rice cakes were not sticking together with just the right chewy texture. The Tan Tan noodles were flavourful and not too spicy. The shrimp tofu was great. The shrimp were perfectly done and the tofu was nice and soft. This place can get very busy with the limited seating, but they take reservations. Definitely will be back here.Drop me a comment or a like if you found this helpful.

We have had their wonton soup twice now and it is the worst. Broth is bland. Wontons are ok.

Everything here was superb and something worth it to come all the way just to eat chinese food. I believe this is the best chinese comfort food in town. All the way from the xlb to the dumplings, they were all good. Truly recommended to come! Cheers!

The “Xiao long bao” and “Wine chicken” is must try. Food was great, friendly service but uncomfortable seating because the restaurant is small.

*CASH ONLY*(they tell you on the phone and it's posted in the restaurant)You come here for the amazing food, not the ambiance. Mad respect for the manager / owner for being able to converse in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese, juggling all front of house duties efficiently.Recommendations:-xiao long bao (steamed pork dumplings)-thick noodles (dan dan noodles, shanghainese soup noodles)-beef rolls-pan fried dumplingsThe beef rolls are heavenly - golden fried, not too greasy, very flavourful. There're 6 pieces, we devoured two before remembering to take a photo. Xiao long bao is hands down the best in the city and fairly priced.Parking: Street parking

I only ordered Xiao Long Bao (soup dumplings) as a snack from Uber eats. I’m surprised how good it tasted for delivery (considering it had been sitting in the box for x amount of time before it was delivered to me). I haven’t eaten at the restaurant for dine-in but I will plan a visit soon. The soup in the dumpling was flavorful with enough filling. The skin isn’t too thick as well. I can’t wait to try it fresh in the restaurant

Ordered food from here on uber eats when my girlfriend and I were feeling lazy. The xlb's were one of the best I've ever had! There was so much soup in it oozing out. The drunken chicken was also very flavour full. It came in a container marinating in its sauce. We also got a soup noodle, and unfortunately the soup and noodles were not separated and it took over an hour to get our food, the noodles were cold soft and soggy. 10/10 would offer the xlb again

Good taste and portions but it doesn’t have much ingredients and meat inside. Pretty much dough and soap. More ingredients would be great. **Cash only

Got the drunken chicken, XLB, beef rolls and tantan noodle. Enjoyed every dish and the XLB & beef rolls were soooo fresh. Shared between 2 people and bill came out to be $45, very reasonably priced. They take cash only.
