Recently had a chance to try this tiny place called Mean Poutine in the heart of Vancouver downtown and it was some experience. The customer service was good, and the staff was friendly. The food was tasty , but have tried better poutines ….We ordered fried chicken poutine and it could use a little more gravy, it felt little dry. Buffalo chicken chunks are tasty.Overall good experience, hopefully they can rectify the gravy situation and make poutine great again.

Probably worst poutine I ever had. Served cold. I went back and nicely asked for some gravy to be put on the cheese because it was super cold (even though I prefer not to have soggy fries) and she said in a rude tone of voice that it’s obviously cold because the cheese is in the fridge. And I was surprised because obviously everywhere they keep their cheese in the fridge and they serve poutine warm / hot. But said it was super cold nicely trying to explain and again she rudely answered, … I was like may you add some hot gravy so it heats up (even though I actually *hate* soggy fries) and she again in a rude tone of voice said it’s 1 dollar for extra gravy. Lady, you shouldn’t be serving gross cold food first of all!!! The woman’s attitude was horrible and NO actually, in my whole life I was never served poutine where the cheese was super cold- ever in my life. Absolute worst poutine and the woman who works there shouldn’t be serving people food, she has a horrible attitude. Didn’t eat much because I didn’t enjoy it - but most of all just left with a bad memory. Some people need to think of why they push so much negativity on to others. Don’t have a good photo cause I only take good photos when I want to post on Instagram (and I didn’t want to post this memory) but here’s on now before I throw it out. Cost co poutine is way better, and cheese is actually melted and not icy chunks. *****by the way, just scrolled down reviews and many many people commented on the lady being rude.*****I see reviews of her double charging, or charging for a fork that was dropped by someone who ordered 6 poutines… embarrassing*****

This small store make Yummy poutines. No dine-in area, and you need to hold your food and walk in the street. But the taste is good and recommended.

It's not worth the price. Customer service here depends on how much you tip, although you can only eat standing at a bar that is on the sidewalk and is usually dirty.Vegetarian options: I don't recommend it.

Love me some Mean Poutine. Been coming here for late night cravings on the regular for quite some time now. A great consistent spot. Great fries. My favorite poutines from them are cheeseburger, mean and green and classic. Really nice team of people who work there. I usually take my poutine to go. In summer when its warm its nice to stand at their counter top area!

Had an extremely terrible experience, have always loved coming here after a night out but I came yesterday and the lady was very rude made me pay twice and snapped at me, did not speak to me nicely or try to fix the problem. I spent $24 on one poutine because their machine wouldn’t print my receipt when I was paying and I kept showing her I paid on my Apple Pay a that It had approved especially because she watched me tap my card, she had no customer service skills yelled at me because of her machine not working and still made me pay twice.Very disappointed and will not be back.

Bought 6 poutines and dropped one fork and the lady wanted to charge me for another fork. Ridiculous to charge for a fork immediately after I bought 6 poutines and dropped 1 on accident. When asked for a new fork she closed the window and would not serve us. As well did not have any of the menu besides a regular poutine. No other options on the menu were available

Got the Philly cheesesteak poutine. The toppings are good but the fries could be better. They get mushy and are not appetizing to eat after a few bites. They have any area where you can eat/stand. They provide one form and you have to pay 25 cents for another. Service is fast.
