Try Paramount for fresh and hot dim sum! The service was pretty good and quick Free parking underground or street parking (the signage still says Lucky Plus) Its noisy here and tables are a bit tighter but overall a good dim sum experience We got reservations for 11:30am on a Sunday and it wasn't busy until noon Food was hot and portions were pretty good, the fried foods were very fresh We loved the: - pork shiu mai with fish roe (5 Pieces) -fried bean curd skin with shrimp and greens, - Steamed bun with custard (3 buns) - pan fried egg tofu topped with fried shrimp paste - steamed claypot rice with chicken, Chinese sausage, broccoli - Chinese donut wrapped rice roll -eggplant with shrimp paste, Will be back again with more family!

Dined here with my colleagues to celebrate one of my colleague's retirement party. We were a party of 15 so they sat us at two tables. We ordered a bunch of dishes to share and the portions were perfect for sharing. The prices were reasonable and we ended up with leftovers. My favourite dishes were (sadly I don't know the name of the dishes because my manager ordered all the dishes on our behalf) : fried rice, crispy battered shrimp, crispy duck wrap, fried fish which came in a special sauce. The jello dessert was delicious and unique too (because of its consistency it felt more like a jello cake). Overall I enjoyed the food and liked trying new dishes. The service was meh. We kept on having to ask them for more tissue and water. They also didn't bring out any utensils (we had to use the utensils that were with each large dish). A few people were still eating when one of the staff started telling us to wrap it up because they wanted to bring out the dessert. Then they brought out containers and put it on the table and 2-3 minutes later she came back and started speaking loudly and told us to hurry up and pack the dishes...at this point the restaurant was still open and 1/3 of the restaurant was empty so it was not because they were closed/closing. Service 3/5 Food 4.5/5 Ambiance 4/5

Additional comments: If possible, make a reservation in advance for their eight-treasure gourd duck. Theirs is the most authentic Babao Gourd Duck that I have eaten in Vancouver so far.

Food is very good. All 20 of us really enjoyed ourselves. They use only fresh and good ingredients in their dishes. Their Alaskan King Crab dish, both garlic and salt +pepper, is by far the best compared to also 4 to 5 stars restaurants in Vancouver. Price is reasonable for such quality food and portion. This is our third visit and will continue to come. Happy we have chosen to eat here for Chap Goh Mei. Katy, the owner is always in the restaurant to meet and serve her customers. Very hands-on and service is good too. Happy Chap Goh Mei.

The taste of the meals in the past few days was different from a few months ago. It was too salty, the portions were too small, and the wok was not full of flavor. It was completely different from when it first opened.Parking: I heard that there is back parking, but it is difficult to find the intersection. It is easier to park on the street.

Food is decent. However, I can smell cigarette smoke coming from the kitchen on several occasions. Staff should know better than to smoke inside or near any entrances.

Got a 9:30 am seating and ordered congee with Chinese donuts and other dishes. After taking our order, they came back to tell us the congee won't be ready till after 10am. But they bring out the donut first! The donut was HEAVILY oiled, hard and overfried.. Complained, asked them to take it away and bring it when the congee is ready. Well, they brought back the exact same plate of donuts. The congee was luke warm. The loh bak goh was mostly corn starch and tasteless. A terrible experience.

Been here a few times already and found many of the dishes were decently sized and quite flavorful. The only downside is the limited street parking and underground

Picture shown half of order of roasted "yu ju" is not bad but honestly not that good too. Food was ok nothing surprising. It was fullhouse on a Thursday night, must be a well known neighborhood restaurant. The shaomai we had was really good, it was big, juicy and tasty. Very little pork fat which I like.

We ordered 3 dishes: chicken and corn soup, beef and broccoli and house special chow mein. The chicken and corn soup was okay. The noodles and beef and broccoli were exceptional.Often in many Chinese restaurants, service is horrible. You feel that you are an inconvenient when you ask for something. But not here, our server was excellent. She was polite, attentive, and fluent in English. So we will be back.
